Well with me it's almost the opposite, cause I only entered the enlightenment age a few days ago and I'll get offered something like 6 industrial age opponents, then maybe 2 enlightenment ones and then back to the industrial age. I've only seen I think 2 gunpowder age opponents as well anyway...

The thing that has bothered the most about the game is probably the choices of opponent it gives when looking for a battle and being attacked; I'm almost always offered an opponent an age above me with a defence more advanced than my attacking troops meaning that with no chance of winning I have...

This is a very frustrating part of the game for me because if the leader isn't active the the whole alliance goes downhill; the alliance can't go to war and allies that don't donate aren't kicked etc. To add to this I am in a small alliance and yet half the other players are inactive or don't...
