War Matchmaking all over the place

Nice base you have. Yes, Chris isn't much fun.

War Matchmaking all over the place

We would love a match with Prodigal Thieves, but that isn't possible. Perhaps our second alliance would be able to get a match?

War Matchmaking all over the place

For what it is worth, we weren't happy with that matchup either, but it is luck of the draw.

Things are working well. Too much complaining.

    Sandbagging

It is when an alliance that has global+ accounts also includes gunpowder and medieval (sometimes even lower) players in a war to dilute their war strength and match an opponent that cannot 5 star their global accounts. It is very effective if you do not want war to be challenging.

“The Road to Better World War Matchmaking” aka Sandbagging!

We have trouble matching teams, but the top Korean alliances have to heavily sandbag just to match us. I can promise you that they aren't sandbagging to get easy matchups. They are sandbagging to get any matchup.

    Coalitions Improvements Design Spotlight

Why over-complicate this? If you have sufficient NTGs for coalitions, then you may participate in the war. If you don't, then you sit this war out and join in the next. Leadership is a forgotten skill.

    February State of the Nations!

I think splitting the alliance is a very rational response to these impossibly long search times. We finally got a match with a full lineup and it was with a higher ranked alliance that had to resort to sandbags in order to match.

    February State of the Nations!

1st Dynasty has always been a Great War alliance (autocorrect believes that they are also aging war veterans). Perhaps the reason that KA is now stronger is because what was once a single alliance is now spread over five.

    February State of the Nations!

Ah geez, Wind Warriors. Now I feel bad. It is like making fun of a special needs child. But then again, I suppose that every team that matches Wind Warriors in war feels like a bully when it is over.

    February State of the Nations!

Rad, do you need a hug? Every single alliance that complains on these forums about sandbagging, dilutes their war strength down with MA accounts far more than Encore has ever dreamed of. Unfortunately, it is impossible for us to get a match at full strength.

    February State of the Nations!

That was done to try to get a match with a good alliance. Unfortunately, we ended up matching Boss Hoggs, an alliance that would get thoroughly thrashed if they were matched with Three Sisters of the Blind. Not our best decision.

“The Road to Better World War Matchmaking” aka Sandbagging!

Name one good alliance that uses sandbagging to win wars. Elite Generals has always used mixed alliance sandbagging to win wars. Humble Emperors got to #7 with mixed alliance sandbagging. The competent alliances have to sandbag so all of their matches are not stalemates. Did you wonder why all...
