Tried the TC defended base setup and got flattened by a almost maxxed out GA lvl 198 player who nicked me for 17 medals lol! That's for a 4 star win too...would have been more if he could have 5 starred me. Hilariously, I had almost no oil, no gold, and just 300k food. How does a 198 lvl player...

Yes, it's a challenge, but waiting isnt fun. Sadly, the way it is now with the long training times, the majority of Dominations isnt fun. Here's the point: It was fun last weekend with the shorter training times.

Well this is related then. The SALE on cheaper war academy caused me to buy crowns to upgrade it quickly, and I did this because I didnt want to miss out on the FUN that the last event created due to shorter training times. Please pass this on to the developers. thanks!

Absolutely this! I spent $20 for more crowns over the weekend to speed up generals and keep playing. Dominations was actually fun again....20 minute wait time for full army reload is a worthwhile wait, or better yet, spend a few crowns and keep attacking! (which is what I did) Logged in...

Thanks Eddie and RL. I'm settling in on this new game style, so I guess I'll get there when I get there :-) As stated, my resources seem to top off without too much effort, even the oil (sitting on 105k oil at the moment, but waiting for refinery upgrade so I can work on the airstrip upgrade...

I've been finding success with the engineer. That extra couple of seconds seems to make all the difference in taking out the TC and keeping troops alive. Interesting that one troop type would make that much difference (better than another tank, or 10 more rifles). Too bad saboteurs are so weak...

I'm still waiting on mill upgrades...got one more to go, and the subs are up (and I'm sitting on 8 million food). I want the howitzers more, but it means waiting another 6 days with all this food...heh!

Update: I'm hovering at about 2450 now. I think my base level (175) is what locks in such difficult opponents. I usually have to next 30-100 times to find a decent base offering 5 medals. Most are 1 medal only...Today I lost 39 medals to a weird base that I should have flattened...
