There should be an option where you can attack your own base, just to see how your defensive layout will fare against attacking players. Players who are in your age anyway :)) can't really stop a technologically advanced enemy.

Happened to me too, quite recently in fact. Here's what happened; I went to sleep with around 830 Medals, so I was already Silver III, I had a peace treaty that was set to expire in 10 hours. When I woke up, my peace treaty just finished and my medals were down to 714. That reaaaaaally bugged...
