Are Generals Worth It?

Most aspects of this game that have to do with military are great. The one fault I find is the generals. I feel that the generals are not worth using and upgrading. First of all, they are expensive just to use for possibly one battle. Second, they are all the same stats-wise. My biggest wish is that the General acted like Clash of Clan's Barbarian King or Archer Queen. If the General was always there in the town, and you had to permanently buy him for an expensive price it would be great. Lastly, each General should be different in their own way with an ability or aid of some sort.

I don't use them anymore. Pretty useless as they are made of tofu. A little damage and they will go into long hours of recharge.

Generals haven't tipped the battle in my favor and are pretty pointless. They should behave like cavalry and go straight for defensive buildings because any good general knows the garrison is a strategically important target but our generals attack the farm next to the garrison while troops from the garrison surround them and kill them! Now what general would attack a benign farm before a garrison? A general who wouldn't be a general for long that's who!
