Hey guys,

Have encountered a new bug where engineers/wall miners have MUCH higher attack stats than they're supposed to, for example, a 45k engineer can one-shot a 57k wall.

It's happening frequently, nearly every defense in the past few days, so I recommend you check the stats of your walls vs your wall attackers, if you get hit.

But if you're attacking, you might find that your engineers/wall miners get 'luckier' than they're supposed to, lol.

I've reported to Nexon and will let you know how they reply...

I'm constantly attacked with 7+ wall miners so it's really hard to tell.
Although a 45k breecher with a weapon blessing has 59k dps.

This is true except that it isn’t new. It’s been this way since a patch many months ago that was designed to enable wall miners to open wider holes in walls for troops to move through (which was probably a band-aid for weak troop AI).

What happened is this. Wall miners are like mortars in that they do splash damage consisting of base damage (the highest damage on the strike point) and falloff damage (lesser damage on adjoining wall segments). To make them do full damage to adjoining segments, the base damage to the main segment was doubled —although this isn’t reflected in the stats. After the patch, the new falloff damage equaled the old base damage so as to make a wider hole.

My guess is they thought nobody would notice inasmuch as the main wall segment would have been destroyed anyway. Only people did notice; specifically people who had invested countless hours or crowns to get high level walls only to watch them fail against low level wall miners as easily as the cheap walls did.

Just throwing this out there. Isn't the idea of a specialised wall breaker that their sole job is to break walls? It stands to reason a wall breaker is always going to be one level stronger than a wall, doesn't it?
It would be ludicrous if a unit designed to do a job is not capable of doing the job he's designed to do.
In this case I think it makes sense that a wall breaker can punch above his weight. Artillery/tanks/raiders can quite easily get through 'same level' walls, but when you need something for higher level walls you call an engineer.
If an engineer, designed to breech walls, can't get through a level 15 or 16 wall they'll be used even less than they currently are.

DPS of an engineer is not the same as the 1 time damage output against walls.
just place a barbed wire in front of the wall, that will make sure the engi can't get through.

We calculated the time a lower level wall breaker takes to get to a far enough wall, to eventually come up with the conclusion that with a given dps (damage per second), if it takes 3 seconds to reach the wall, it will do 3 times the dps.
