We've been asking for years but it'll never happen. Besides, with all the time reductions already given they have to slow down the pace somewhere - this makes the game a worthwhile long term investment and make us players think about our choices - as it's supposed to be. This game would be boring if it was a simple click-&-forget game like all the others out there.

id want to see less citizens but have a cap of 4 and the uni techs will reduce food/gold ones by 2 and why i want an oil one like the ones for food and gold. 2 citizens is plenty.

what they could do for times is keep the one time the same (the level 1 time is the time for the tech youre researching). so if a level 1 tech takes 3 days thats the time for all levels it dont increase.

i agree with crimson you need some time lost so to speak but my fix would make it better than what youre thinking. ( cause legendary artifacts seem to be the only fix to this unfortunately)

The number of citizens is the number of tasks that can be performed simultaneously in the game; number of citizens required to complete a task = difficulty of the task. In real life, it is impossible for one person, for example, to both study and build at the same time - in the game everything is exactly the same.
If you focus only on resources - there are no special problems with resources in the game at all - there is even a problem that there is nowhere to invest them, because, again, all the citizens are busy.
In other words, if the University does not require citizens, it will devalue the learning process at the University. The Library doesn't require citizens, so why turn the University into a clone of the Library?
