The update changed the number of troops you can donate each time an ally requests some, it did not change the total number of troops you are allowed to have, you'll need to upgrade your Alliance gate for that.

This reminds me of my post a couple days ago. If the Space Age means exploring new worlds maybe we could create a new civilization as a secondary account but with all the buildings, resources and civilians available from the start, what do you think? Maybe even a terrain painter for some orange...

I'm at the max that can be cleared for Iron Age and it's 20 lots total. The next one I'll be clearing during the classical age is gonna cost me 55k gold.

Not confirmed, but I believe it's 50% of loot from your caravans and farms and 25% from your markets and mills. So it's better to collect food and gold as often as you can so that there is less available to steal.

I had the same problem and I don't know if it's a fix of if I coincidentally got it to unglitch. What I did was I went back into the map editor removed all buildings and then exited without saving. When I returned to my village, my roads and walls connected just how I wanted them to.
