This base did amazing for me. Very rarely did attackers get my loot. Even 30 dragoon raiders with protect could only steal one or two resources before everything killed them. I had Acropolis and in my base, switched Colosium's and Hanging Garden's positions...
"HC (combined with other troops) is the only legitimate way (pre EA) to 100% the defenses of a village"
I use to 100% Medieval and some Gunpowder bases with 65 footman and 30 archers.
The question isn't "What unit will follow my cavs around to do damage to the defenses?" It should be more "What army and strategy will I use to dominate this base?"
My base isn't like anything you assumed btw. -.- Stop generalizing.
I see what you're saying. I didn't mean it was viable, but before, the potential was there and some people would use it nonstop. Everyone is right about how the AI does need to be fixed to help all units. My raiders and infantry just attack other walls while there are openings.
I don't...
Infantry are suppose to do good damage against buildings, and cavs are suppose to tank up damage. Don't rage because your unit is finally doing what its suppose to.
I'm GP age.
Also, the description for cavs say that they distract defenses while other units do the damage. People are focusing too much on them being a 'do it all' kind of unit, when they're really only suppose to soak up damage.

Aren't cavs suppose to be more tank than damage dealer though? It's no fun when you get spammed with cavs and they destroy all your defenses before you can take even 1 down. I agree with the devs.
