I've been a bit grumpy on here lately so in the spirit of a new year I want to try to make a change and think about the positive things in this game... the reason I am still playing it.
10 Artwork/Sounds - The attention to detail is amazing. My hat's off to the artists. They do their job well. The sounds in a battle make it all that much more of a thrill. I love the movement of some of the defensive buildings, the fact that you can tell how much gold/food is in the storage buildings at a glance and those animals are awesome!!! I still have a Turkey because I love the way he struts I tap him every once in a while to hear him gobble. Nice touch adding the snow too. I live in Florida, USA so I don't really get to see that irl.
9 History- I love that history is incorporated into this game. I enjoy reading the blurbs about the important people, buildings and tools of war throughout history. It's cool how we move through the ages ... each age becoming more and more complicated. Just like real life, sometimes I long for a simpler time and that's when I turn to my alt account. Wouldn't it be cool to have an alt in real life?
8 Education- whether it's research in the library or learning from a great leader in the Uni, I like how learning plays an important part of this game. It helps you... well... DomiNate and I believe it is the secret to success in this game.
7 Control- I like having control in my battles. There's more than one way to take down a base and I have the control of where/what I drop, where I rally to, when and what tactics I use, where to send my planes and much more. From the moment of that first horn to the last drumroll with all the yells, grunts, spawn bells, and explosions in between, it's very exciting to see it play out. Especially when I win.
6 Change- If you are so inclined you can change your game up with ease. No one's game is the same, just like no two players are the same. If you don't like how it's going, try a different wonder or Nation. You might like it better.
5 Whoville- I started in April 2015. This village has been part of my life for close to 2 years and it's hard to let it go. Having changed its maps countless times my little town of Whoville has grown into a bustling city. I'm looking forward to what it will become in future ages. It would be sad to leave and not see that happen.
4 Defense Replays - I know they aren't the actual replays of the attack but it's still fun to watch Whoville crush my enemies especially when they wander into my killzones. Mwahahaha!
3 Events and wars - looking past all the complaints about these, you cannot deny they are team building actives. It's the team effort that makes this game fun.
2 Game chat - sitting and chatting with people from around the world while troops are trained and donated, animals are hunted and things are built is an amazing experience. If your alliance doesn't talk on game chat you are really missing out. Which leads me to the biggest reason I find it very difficult to quit...
1 Friends - I have made so many friends in my alliance, on this Forum and on DomiNations Prime Discord channel. It's really a pleasure to share this game with all of you.
10 things I like about DomiNations...
