It is clear that there is a lot of frustration with the current situation, and with the previous mismatches too. Let's not let it get to our relationships any more though! The community is a great part of this game. It is frustrating to see friends leave whether it is because of terrible mismatches or no wars at all. (I have seen both.) We want to play a great game and have fun.
I am glad the old bug about atomic buildings may be fixed! We should have bases' upgrades properly tallied, so matches can be based on accurate weights. (We know levels aren't as helpful a comparison since some folks upgrade economy and others don't.) I assume most people want to advance their bases, which means everyone wants to get heavier. This won't only be a problem for heavy spenders, but for all of us as time goes on. And sure, heavy weight alliances may take longer to get a match, but how long is reasonable?
I don't want to have to add in super low level accounts just to get to play. And while I understand the assumption that we could accept industrial and global players into an all Atomic alliance, I have to point out a problem with it: those new players might not enjoy the experience. I wouldn't have wanted to be in an AA alliance when I was industrial. Being at the low end of an alliance can be frustrating. I have seen people leave alliances because they were an age or two behind the most active players, and felt they couldn't contribute.
