note, I'm a semi-max GP age base
But This is why I feel the game is somewhat broken. Most would rather bring partial sniping troops and get what they can then actually try to brew a real army and attack an entire base.. I too bring a sniper army because I can get more loot reliably against EA bases and GP bases than I could if I tried to just beat up on Medieval ages. That is because upgrades cost a lot and unfortunately the loot out thee is too weak from lower aged players and Equal age or above aged players you are clearly outmatched and must use expensive troops, tactics blessings and mercenaries, which is unsustainable at a rate necessary to progress at a steady pace

Occasionally I bring supply carts and bombard army with mercenaries and blessings and this works well against GP and EA bases that are loaded and closer to max. I can only do this when I know I'm done looting for a few hours and can take a peace treaty and have acquired enough trade goods from my previous snipe session. but I can not continually bring mercenaries I can not constantly lay down the blessings nor can I maintain a constant supply of tactics to do that more than 2x's before I'm depleted and have to go back and just snipe raid... Now I do like the snipe raid option but that gets old and isn't nearly as satisfying as being able to bring a real army and 4 star / 5 star bases
Now I admit I attract these attacks more so because I leave my TC out as well as a few storage's depending on what I'm low on or saving for. , but the meat of my gold and trade goods are usually deep inside my base and rarely does anyone try to get to that. Which works for me as a defensive strategy, but unsatisfying for an offensive strategy
I would rather see fully army attacks be a more viable strategy than it is as the game stand right now.
