• Ending Support for AOS6
As highlighted in our 12.10 Update notes, we will be ending support for AOS6 with the release of the 12.11 Update due to technical requirements. Those on AOS6 will need to upgrade to a device that supports AOS7 or above to continue playing DomiNations.

Greetings Leaders,

To celebrate the 9th Anniversary of DomiNations and the release of Custom World Wars we’re hosting a Community War challenge for all Alliances to participate in!

No sign-up is required; simply participate in Custom World Wars between 5/2 10am EST to 5/30 10am EST. The top 10 Alliances will all receive 9x 9th Anniversary Chests for each member, with the highest placing Alliance receiving 9x Legendary Tokens for each member!

The Community War challenge will follow a basic Ladder style format.

How to Participate
  • Alliances will compete in Custom World Wars over the course of one month from 5/2 10am EST to 5/30 10am EST
    • Any Custom World Wars started after 10am EST on 5/30 will not count toward the final score tally.
    • Alliances can choose to compete as often or as little as they want. Whether it’s every day or a single day, so long as a Custom World War takes place during this period, it will count toward your overall tally.
    • Challenge other Alliances across any community platform you so choose whether it be the Official DomiNations Forum, on Discord, or wherever your social space of choice may be!
    • There are NO REGIONAL OR DEVICE RESTRICTIONS, no matter where you’re from or what device you’re playing on (This includes DomiNations on PC)!
  • Placement in this style will be determined by Total wars won.
    • Tiebreakers will only be enacted for the top 10 qualifying Alliances (for placing into the top 10 and top 1 positions only)
    • The tiebreaker will be based on the percentage of stars in each war between the tying alliances. The Alliance with the higher percentages in each war will be the winner.
    • In the extreme case that both Victory Count and Star percentage match fastest times for each victory will determine the winners.

Rules
  • Your first Custom World War match during the active period will lock in your current Alliance roster for competition.
    • Players will not need to do anything to lock in their Alliance for the competition period.
    • During the active period, you can change the players that are participating in a Custom World War only from this initial list of Alliance members.
    • Anyone not listed on this initial roster (new members joining your Alliance) will NOT count toward your final score should they participate during this period.
  • Any Custom World War size is allowed for competition
  • Any Museum, Council, or Coalition setup is allowed
  • Any Army composition is allowed
  • Alliances can rematch each other only up to three times. (Any additional matches will NOT be counted toward your overall victory in the Ladder)
  • Regular World War matches do not count toward your score, these must be Custom World War matches only.

Winners
The top 10 Alliances can expect to receive their rewards during the week of 6/3. All members of the top 10 Alliances will receive 9x 9th Anniversary Chests, and all members of the highest scoring Alliance will receive 9x Legendary Tokens in addition to the aforementioned Anniversary Chests. Winners will be announced via DomiNations official social accounts and in-game!

Good luck everyone, and may victory shine upon your Alliance!

Mid-Month Update
The current race to the top is looking neck and neck for those third place and above in the current standings. As of 5/16 here's the current leaderboard!

1) D@rk Alley
2) Game Over Man
3) Évora
4) Valenciansunits
5) 猫のお茶会
6) Misfit AltF4
7) ComandoBR
8) PORTUGAL
9) Misfit Valhalla
10) 2 Domination

A tiebreaker was applied to the 1st and 2nd place positions as they both have an equal amount of wins, but one stood out with a much higher Star percentage! Overall scoring for the rest of the top 10 is very close, and even possible that the other 8 positions could VERY easily overtake the current top placing Alliance! Good Luck!

End of Community Event Update

Thank you all who participated! Scores are currently being tallied up and will go live 6/5 along with prizes to be delivered that week. We'll feature a full breakdown of various stats, and crown a champion.

We gained plenty of valuable information from the many Custom Wars that ensued, and plan to use this information to improve the feature and events like this in the future!

@TheWise This doesn’t sounds great as custom wars give no glory, triumph,xp or war chests… and since there is no leaderboard and this event is behind closed doors no way to indicate if the alliance is wasting their time…

There will be a leaderboard at the end of the event. During the event, so long as you play in a custom war, you're included in the running for the event. We don't have an in-game way to showcase the running for this, like global leaderboards, but would take that into consideration for another version of this event. This is a great test case on how we can make Custom Wars better for everyone and where to make adjustments.

Just speaking with other alliances they have similar views as me…

Why don't they make the classification according to the type of war? of 30, 20, 15, 10, based on that the classifications of each one, otherwise it makes no sense, my alliance has won 4 personalized wars, of 15 vs 15, almost perfect, and I see that it does not appear here, strange and unfair , which is classified according to the size of war

I don't understand the point of custom wars. It didn't seem like a useful feature to add.

Your alliance not appearing is due to when these stats were pulled. If you had a war going between 5/12 and today that wouldn't be reflected here. There is a delay in time when scores populate. We don't have the means currently to give you a daily leaderboard, keep winning and odds are you're going to be high up. The maximum possible wins during the event period is about 14~15 depending upon when you started on day one. As the rules state, scores are based on total wins; a tiebreaker takes into account star percentage, not the total. So it doesn't matter what size war you have, wins are king here.

That must change, it is unfair, wars of 10, 15, 20 or 30 are not the same. Not because of the difficulty, nor because of the number of alliances that participate with those numbers, it is known that wars of 10 and 15 are the most basic and easiest, then the 20 and 30 are the most difficult and competitive due to their quantity. I say this so that everything is fairer, in fact, you should ensure that each participating alliance has the maximum number of players available for war, not by choice, but rather that it be done or allowed, for example, if an alliance has 30 or more members available for war, can only participate in war of 30, not less, and so on, an alliance of 20 to 29 available can only participate in war of 20, 15 to 19 members available for war, can only participate in of 15, no less, and alliances of 10 to 14 available for war can only participate in wars of 10. Only then would the quality and competitiveness of the alliances be more faithfully matched.

By the way, when will the results be available?

I'm sorry you feel that way. But star percentage is currently the fairest way to track after victories.

As stated in the rules scores are tallied based on total victories achieved during the event period regardless of Alliance size. Should there be ties in total victories, we then split up the ties by the percentage of stars acquired, not a sum or total of stars. This is done so that regardless of alliance size, you can still compare a 15v15 war to a 50v50 war. We don't want to split the player pool for an event like this, but may consider a different event in the future that does.

Results and prizes will go out the week of 6/3.
