didn't see any thread for such topic. so, here goes.

attacking: loot or stars/trophies.
loot, money and supplies (food, goods, oil)
stars: doing damage and or killing/town center.

going for stars and damage will put your higher in your alliance ranking won't make you rich tho.

im a level 95, I'm hovering at 600 medals. I've been going only for loot for awhile. I've seen levels 150 in 650 medal range. I dont do it for drops. just for loot.

attacking/raiding.
loot or stars?
where's the weakness in the structure? are there walls good? what's being protected? vs your want for attack.
whays going to be triggered first? (garrison, towers, mortars, balista/cannon, castle)

if I'm going for loot. I go in fast obviously. however. I look mat several things.
$$$$$/food. less than 500k isnt worth my time usually.
level of player Im attacking. (to hi or low no good)
walls. did they invest? level 5 or 12?
layout, is it a good layout?( dont attack if you're gonna get fkd)

defense:
are you defenses to close? will a single disable tactic disable multiple?
Are your mortars syncd and covering eachother? (2-4 triggered mortar spam.) <--- devastating.

I keep enemy from spawning all in your farms and other goods I keep mine separate makes it more work. (unless you have pyramid )

for a badass defense. I rcommend
acrypolis (spawns garrison and other assets faster)
Angkor: heals nearby defenses.
colosseum: spawns troops for defense. first set if 6 are in 1/2 second.

I have my defense set up so my spawning is by defensive assets which are protected.

I spent alot on walls earlier.(lvl 80-90) I have full level 7 walls. 1/4 are level 8.

what do you want to protect?
center? (keeping from loss)
resources? (gold and food, oil)
garrisons/stables? (your spawning armies.)
(no army, no distractions.) think about how much tine your troops waste turning to kill Calvary or other troops.
ALOT

Traps: my 31 horse looters got stomped on a run. I spawned them all. they ran thru spikes and hidden troops. I lost 1/3 of them to traps. the other 2/3 were killed by mortars and random towers.

will bump later.

It depends on what you need at the time, and what you don't need for that matter. Before the global release I had no use for oil because I max out on everything oil related. Now I'm maxed out on food at 9M so I don't care about it in fact I'm hoping that I get attack or loot so someone else can make good use of it.

As as for the base, there are times that I wish I don't get attack because I'm building up resources for upgrade, I'd attack the highest medal count/level hoping that they can come back and 5 star my a$4 and give me a long peace treaty. The rest of the time any attack on my base provide me with 2 type of entertainment, one chance for a sweet revenge, then the second is the joy of watching your base defending the attackers. Anyone can build an intimidating base that shouts go away, the trick is to build one that's difficult but inviting to attack.

There's no one layout that does it all. Your base with acropolis and surrounds by garrisons and stables are too easy for my transport plane because it does not spawn troops once that's out of the way there's noting to slow my troops down.

I'll likely write alot more after I've been. thru all ages. for a super strat elaborate guide.

on your base d comment. my chiosing for wonders and such was one sided I like a good offense and a strong defense. asi mentioned in my liance chats, only higher levels (with planes /tanks) or special weekly troop earnings will destrpy me.

im not worried about my resources. I spend on upgrades and research so often. Im also hard on w raiding.

my army costs 80k w tactics.
my avg loot is 500k. I won't loot for less tha. 400k on avg.
ill go as high as 600k those are rare since it's between levels 80-110
clearly levels 125+ are packing 1m in loot. for a reason tho.

true, there is no layout for all. thats why its strat game. everyone has a unique path. only thing thats stays same is a few game conponents (weapons and army)
however, there is a build for your preference.

ezmoney your posts and ideas are good. It would be better to capitalise and structure your posts to make it more readable and readers more enticed to read it in the first place. You made many important, strategical points but I feel it was lost in the typing/styling.

@ mountain king, yes.. I agree

structuring and writing skills, play a big role in comprehension and likelihood of others reading the post.

I don't care about defense only attack
You attack me, I revenge... Simple

But can you talk about troop compositions?

In jui jitsu, there's the principle of "be heavy." No matter how much you weigh, make yourself feel heavier on your opponent than you actually are.

I apply this strategy to Dominations by focusing exclusively on upgrades that will increase my attack strength with minimal increases to my XP.

That means, walls and University are always in progress while I use oil to upgrade planes, heavy tanks, and generals. Properly used, high level walls will stall even the strongest troops which gives your outside garrisons and tanks time to spawn and slowly chip away at the attacker. I get two starred all the time, good luck with the 3rd!

In the meantime, your attack strength grows significantly while your level stays relatively the same. I'm 157 British Industrial and if you directly compare me to other 157s, I guarantee my attack will outweigh their defense and my defense is deceptively strong because people tend to leave the boring upgrade for last (the walls). Be heavy.

That's what I'm talking about!!!...
And with those resources invested in attack... You can revenge

Just like when I was in gunpowder age... A fellow "ager" attacked me with Ballistas... I revenged only to see strong walls and towers...
But with my upgraded attack... Bombards bring down towers before the second shot, my healer heals before they move on, and with my upgraded sabotage... It lasts longer for all these to take place... Before catapult comes back online...

There's nothing more devastating and demoralizing than when you[enlightenment] attack another player[gunpowder] and gets 3 Stars happily... He revenges and brings you down 4~5 stars... With max alliance troops, full tactics[well used], full mercs, and a strategic army... With some units better upgraded that yours!
