big scare; globalage town almost lost from glitch -- how does this game work?

this morning my game failed to boot up; it 'hung' on the title screen and nothing would help. i waited hours and rebooted many times.

so, i took a radical step that others have said fixes things (though i don't know why it would) .. i deleted and re-installed the app.
when i booted it ... my globalage town was replaced by a new dawn age town ... and a new playerid .... omg the fear!
i emotionally prepared to just start over, practicing a nonattachment to progress .. the fun would still be there, and progress is ultimately meaningless so it's ok, it's just a distraction anyway...

then i had the bright idea to log into ios 'game center' ..... when i rebooted the game it gave me the option to use my game-center stored base. *whew* it came back.

however, it prompts me to wonder how exactly the infrastructure/architecture works; if i had said "no don't use game center base" that misclick *would* have started me over. (which imo should be a feature for those desiring it)

intuitively, i think my account 'glitched' somehow, and the process of reloading it from game center unglitched me. not knowing the details how this happened makes me nervous.

it seems there is a 'game center' base and a 'nexon' base, kept synchronized, and the 'nexon' base glitched out ... and i needed to 'reload' from the 'game center' base. the game seems to desire to shield us from being aware of the infrastructure ... but if i had some awareness of how it works i might not have been so freaked out.

any advice or comments?

The loading of a new base is normal if you uninstall then re-install the game. If you log into your game account you will always be given the option of loading the existing base for that account.
They're all stored on Nexon's servers.
Bet you had quite a scare there, hey?! :D
