In dominations, most of the players choose British Nation because the unique troop of ranged infantry with +1 range and 15% damage.. every time i attack or be attacked, i always deal with this nation..

i think it is so boring and not excited anymore to see this nation dominate the other nations..
TinSoldier this nation is too OP so please fix this..

You have now joined the chorus. The missile silo was supposed to help with that, but not so much so far.

French and German are the next two top picks. If they actually did nerf the British, it isn't like you would get tons of variety - one of those two would just rise to the top. In a game like this with imperfect balance, there is always a best choice.

Edit to add: Just to be clear, I don't think the British should be nerfed. The problem in this game right now is overpowered defense with the addition of the silo.

The missile silo can help to deal with those ranged infantry??
You are absolutely wrong..
Those players who use british nation are smart because they can use 1 or 2 tanks to deceive the missile silo because this missile will attack troop units with the highest HP which is tank or mercenary tank have high HP..

When the missile silo focus to attack tanks, those ranged infantry + howitzer can easily destroy your base so quickly

In our current war against the sandbagging Colombia Fury 23/30 of their players are British. I guess they must all be Anglophiles instead of the Brit shooters being head and shoulders above everyone else. To be fair, an inordinate amount of our top guys are Brits too. I wonder why that is? God save the Queen and all that.

I would think reducing British shooter damage by 15-30% would balance them out, in late game at least. The main issue to me isn't them out ranging defenses. It's the way they vaporize even maxed out tanks and heavy tanks before they get close. Since the late game consists of largely cookie cutter bases based around the Acropolis and Hold the Gates an overall reduction to shooter damage would probably make a significant difference. Even if defending tanks got close enough to take out just 1-2 shooters attrition and traps would kick in. Yet Brits would still get to keep their +1 range (the only mechanically different unit in the game by the way) which should satisfy the people who scream bloody murder everytime this subject is broached.

I used to be a big believer in not having rifles shoot over walls but a well laid out base with 3-4 field howies in the TC would be exceedingly difficult to combat otherwise. Too bad for all the useless units like mortars, eh?

However, according to that Ask Me Anything; Tell You Nothing from a few weeks back there is absolutely no issue with nation balance, nosiree, so I wouldn't expect even a simple change like this to happen. And even if it did they wouldn't also combine it with a free or drastically reduced cost nation change. Which of course would cause more people to leave in a game that seems to be hemorrhaging players.

Actually, the British are at an advantage against the Missile Silo because archers have the lowest HP, therefore it requires less hit points from tanks to draw the silo away from them than from any other unit.

I agree with the problem of them vaporizing tanks before they get close. A more sensible defense improvement against archers than the silo in my opinion would have been to add splash damage to defending heavy tanks (although I don't know if that alone without the range buff would be enough).

Well, I'm so glad ''somebody'' decided to say something about the British. It's about time!

My idea is those ranged infantry require 2 space capacity to produce but their damage increase from 15% to 20%..

i'm choosing German Nation but i think this nation need rebalance and french too..

- German Nations : Because of tetonic fury is OP (+ 15% damage of barack troops), it should reduce from 15% to 5%..
- French Nations : reduce time to train troops 20% need rebalance, it should be enough in 10% and the unique troop should be + 15% damage and + 10% HP..

If British Nation doesn't rebalance, i'm pretty sure i will move to british nation and many players will do the same thing too..

Nerfing the retrain time on French, lol. If I couldn't binge on this game with training blessings and the French retrain bonus I probably wouldn't even be playing this game for over two years now.

The British troops are the only ones in the game that are different on a mechanical level. Every other troop merely has a difference in DPS/HP or both. In addition, shooters only take one space, are the cheapest to upgrade in the armory and second easiest to max in uni. And they get 15% bonus damage on top of it and the loot bonus as an extra kick in the teeth. Ultimately, the range itself is more than enough.

I don't blame you for considering switching to British, OP. You've reached the crossroad that many have. It won't make defending against other Brits any easier but you do you.

As for the Germans, if there really are going to be ''several'' more ages then they'll eventually be overpowered too. It takes awhile to really get them going though. They were awful for me up until mid-EA.

My main account is French and I'm with JMoney. If they changed French training times or training blessing I'd probably quit. Especially since the advent of the silo and the continued addition of multiple traps every age that kill all atomic units but tanks, paratroopers and helis regardless what level the traps are.

I have a 197 AA French, 121 IA German, and 77 GPA Brit account. The training times on the lower accounts drive me nuts, particularly during a blessing, but at least in those ages I'm not forced to play for an hour or more at a time just to get ahead. Playing one battle and hoping to not be attacked during rebuilds just doesn't work in AA.

French, Germans, Koreans, Chinese are fine, imo.

Brits are overpowered because of their range and the fact that shooters in general provide by far the most bang for the buck in this game.

The Greek tank is ok, as far as units go. Though tanks suck at attacking. They're just meatshields so the French tank is far superior in that regard. The Greek power is a joke. Instead of 5 minutes per age it should be a 1% reduction per age. Global is the tenth age I believe so by then a 2 week upgrade would be:

336 hours- 33.6= 302.4 hours or 12 days 14 hour 24 minutes. Not OP but certainly appealing in the context of dozens of upgrades per age.

Romans will probably get screwed again by no barrack upgrades during a future age. Honestly, I don't think this game will be able to handle too many more animations and units to track. And as that's their ONLY ability (their unit is the worst in the game) they need a boost.

The Japanese........? Hoo boy, I wouldn't even know where to begin.

However Moctezuma's capstone is clearly designed to take the easy way out of the no NTG issue due to nation imbalance. So join the party, switch to Brits. Why the hell not? They're never going to do anything about them anyway. Again though, it's not going to make defending against them any easier, though you may glean some insight by alliance challenging yourself.

Sorry for the novella. Winding down for the night. Feel free to tl;dr.

It's the only way I play now. Doing just 1 or 2 battles in early-atomic is pointless. You lose far more than you can gain, and every upgrade takes an absurd amount of RSS. If i don't get at least 3 or 4 more times than I can lose from 1 attack I'd never get anywhere.

German has been nerfed silently after university of coalition: its actual buff is around 8% now. In some sense, Roman is a better choice.
French only good in raid. In war level, it is an average choice only.

In reality, all countries are in similar strength after full research in university and full upgrade of Coalition, even for Japanese and Greeks, the only OP one is British for its unique +1 range shooter.

Another major issue is NTG. I am in range 1800 -2400, and find it is extremly difficult to get Salt, even harder than Silk and Scroll, From NTG point of view, maybe we should consider buff German, LoL

Regarding the silent nerf of Germans: Teutonic Fury adds 15% DPS to the unit's base stats (you can't even see the base stats, because they are already spoiled be other bonuses). Each uni/lib research and blessings/coalitions just stack with the Teutonic Fury. It means that more research and buffs you have, the less significant Fury will be in the final sum.
