Trying to figure out out how the various library, university and upgrades affect the various troop HP I have found some inconsistencies when I try to formulate it, using what I believe is the most conservative formulas.
Assume the base HP for a MBT2 is 21,717, per Wikipedia. This is a generic MBT2 without
• Any library boosts
• Any University boosts
• Any expertise (CWA Barrack boosts)
• No armor blessing
The current training window value for a MBT2 in my game is 22,778. I have the following:
• +10% Library topic Chivalry #1
• +10% Library topic Standing Army #4
• +6% Sultan Saladin MBT Mk2 hit points
• +500 Barracks lvl 10 (I have upgraded one Barrack)
Following is my attempt at the most conservative linear formula for calculating MBT2 HP in my scenario
MBT2 HP = 21,717 + 21,717*.1 + 21,717*.1 + 21,717*.06 + 500 = 27,863.42
So I tried a couple of what I would consider cheesy ways to calculate the MBT2 HP
Another attempt: MBT2 HP = 21,717 + (((21,717*.1)*.1)*.06) + 500 = 22,230.0302
Another attempt: MBT2 HP = (21,717+500) + ((((21,717+500)*.1)*.1)*.06) = 22,230.3302
So I assume that the Wikipedia value is wrong and I solve for it (MBT2 base HP)
22,778 = X + X*.1 + X*.1 + X*.06 + 500
22,278 = 1.26*X
MBT2 base HP = 22,278/1.26=17,680.9524
If I add the Armor blessing, the training window value for MBT2 HP jumps to 28,613
MBT2 HP = 21,717 + 21,717*.59 +500 = 35,030.03
MBT2 base HP = 28,613/1.59=17,995.5975
So my question is
“Is Wikipedia article incorrect or is the calculation of MBT2 HP in the game incorrect?”
My assumption is that the calculations are incorrect. Why? Compare it to the Mercenary T-62 tank with HP= 29,924. The only boosts there are +20% (Library Free Companies)I find it hard to believe that the MBT2 HP is that much weaker than the T-62 by design. The same inconsistency is also present with the MBT2 Damage.
I welcome any challenges / corrections. I just want to understand how the various boosts apply to the various troops.
