This subject has been brought up in the past. More than once and will continue to be a problem if the powers that be continue to think that players do not need to be kept informed.
This new event, which is supposed to be fun, is causing loading issues. So instead of putting up a message on the fb account or here in the forum ... preferably both. The answer is to contact customer service via the forum and state what the issue is. This is just putting the workers under more pressure having all these complaints flow in and add to their workload. Not a smart way to run any type of business.
Needless to say, I am not a happy gamer right now. I have probably been attacked and had my rss stolen that I spent time and energy stealing from someone else. Not to mention the medals or trade goods.

Oh wait I just mentioned them. 😠

The problem is due the game unable to load until the updates have been downloaded. I was locked out for 20 mins

There was a brief period this AM where people on specific Android devices may have had an issue, but it was literally fixed as soon as we found it. If you're having a problem, it really is best to contact Customer Service.

I do not think 4 hours is a brief period. I have already reached out to support. And it is still not fixed. Thanks for responding, though the post would not be written if whoever is in charge of announcements took a moment to post about this issue. And that is my point ..

And my mood is reflected in my post .. grumpy and sulking due to withdrawal symptoms

Actually, I just now got an update from CS. The known issues thread is being updated!

It took over 5 and a half hours but finally success. At the cost of 22 medals and too much gold being pilfered .. grr

Thanks to Alex D of customer service who handled my dilemma.

But still ... poor effort to inform those that need to know. And as a player I need to know and so do the forum moderators.
