Cosmetic change - add crew to artillery units

That's just me that think that it's a silly sight to see our ballistas and cannons walking and shooting like they are ghost-operated?

I know that the game have already a plethora of things to be adressed first, but I think that the dev team should rework the sprites of artillery units to include at least one single guy carrying and shooting our artillery. I'm not asking even to have a full crew carrying it with horses and an officer ordering the targets and waving his sword when ordering the shots, just a guy to roll the machine around.

It's fine with a 90's RTS like Age of Empires 1 and 2 (the third one already includes guys on cannons), but we already have past that era of graphical abstraction on our strategy games, and i'm more than sure that the app can cope with some reworked unit sprites.

Lol. You're right. It looks weird that they have no one operating them. There are a bunch of issues needed to be addressed first but it's not like this would be something difficult to do.

I have been plugging for this change since the original Age of Empires came out.

It probably has something to do with the rate of fire being too fast to do any meaningful reloading animation.

Possibly it would be too difficult to keep up with sudden direction changes that the balista/cannon is faces in combat. Would the operator teleport suddenly behind the cannon if it had to pull a 180?

Some of the lower-end phones still can't take that much of processing requirement. If you notice, some players also have scaled down graphics that looks a bit ugly compared to the higher-end ones.
