Creating Head to Head Matchups

I was wondering what thoughts and experiences the community had in creating H2H war matchups. Understandably this is easier for top tier alliances to manufacture, but how about all the other alliances? Since war rank is based on a players experience level, yet altered by upgrades you cannot see while removing economic upgrades this is difficult to manage. I am unable to think of a perfect system of converting a player rank to a war rank, but my initial thoughts were to assign arbitrary points to various off/def upgrades while doing the same with the economic building. Certainly a far from perfect system but I think it may work better than just carrying over a players experience level.

Other factors I thought of that may help are a larger team size as there seem to be less alliances who war with more than 30, and an odd time to sync up and begin searching at the same time.

Any thoughts/input/experiences in creating H2H matchups would be much appreciated, Thanks!

Noone knows the exact attack/defence formula. Let alone calculate for every single of your alliance members' and opponents' points. That is too much work if you ask me lol

The most I would try is to just add the total absolute experience level for both teams. If they add up to equal each other, then set a fix time to press the button and try your luck. But like you said, the higher head count you and they have, the better the chances are.

Honestly I have not hear of anyone other then the higher level alliances successfully getting a match up. Unless they have previously been match up before.

Agreed, it would be at best an educated guess and a whole lot of work.. Maybe limiting it to a couple key factors would be easier, i.e. troop upgrades and def buildings...

Would love a chance at a H2H with HZ. Are you doing anything to increase the chances of a matchup? What factors are you looking at?

Hi Clint, Great! I will bring it up with our fearless leader. What alliance are you from? Arrangements with super greens are still in initial stages, we have to decide on rewards, then I have to clear it with the higher ups in HZ, then we have to decide on numbers of players, numbers of medals, date and time... hoping this will be sufficient.... Although we do enjoy beating *Deutschland* again and again, it does get old and I am sure they would love a break...

Hey Clint. Got the go ahead from HZ leadership. We usually start a war on Friday, would this friday work for you? I think we can field between 15-25 players. What is your preferred number?

We include everyone available so we've been doing 40v40 as of late, Would like for it to work out but we couldn't hold that many people out, just wouldn't be fair for our teammates. Let me know if you can do it down the line. No rush or pressure, just think it would be fun. : )

Hey Clint, I am seeing if we can field 40 zombies for a war this Friday. I'll post here by thursday if it is looking possible and we can then work on matching levels and setting a time to search.

Believe, your top guys/gals are higher level than us on average, however with bigger teams I think we can average it out... I have a spreadsheet I can send u in pm, put in all your player levels, i'll do the same, and we can go from there on matching things up. Im actually out and about visiting w another alliance atm for a couple wars trying to particiapte in a H2H w them scheduled for this saturday.... Earliest I could be back and ready would be early-middle of next week. Maybe next friday? Hope this works : )

just an update on here, we have a channel for H2H matchups alongside a pretty spreadsheet for info. Please find the channel on discord Here. From there we can give you the link and help you fill out the spreadsheet. This is not a moderated thing, and it's based on community communication.

I threw this up as a result of 1. Stealing a Clint for a few wars and wanting a rematch with Invictus Army and 2. I see so many posts about people being in the 'best' Alliance and feel they should have a place to prove it!
