Hi,

It's come to be that I can no longer really compete in war's due to the increasingly bad lag for any battle involving space age or even troop cards in cold war. I'm also finally going to get on the smart phone bandwagon. So, I thought I would come here for some advice. before I go on, I am unwilling to buy anything apple so please don't bother with that kind of recommendation. That now being said.

Does anyone have a device that works well for wars in the space age?
Does anyone know what amounts of ram or processor speed are needed to play this game without the terrible lag?

Thank you.

Up until a year ago I was playing on a Galaxy S5 without many issues. Sure, it took a minute to actually load and I always cleared data and rebooted before war attacks or long play sessions but I generally had few issues. However, I upgraded to a GS9+ and the game now loads in about 6 seconds, I've had maybe 3 or 4 crashes mid battle in the last year while being pretty active, and the only lag I've experienced is watching replays from others' lagged devices. Seeing as the phone is last year's model you can probably get it somewhat cheap by now if you're willing to sacrifice some time off the support cycle.

The only bad thing I have to say about it is the bloatware. There really is no need for a Google, Samsung, and Sprint(or other carrier) version of the same apps. I understand Pixels are much better in that regard but have no personal experience.

Iiphone or IPad works great. I personally use an IPad. Could never use a small phone to play Dominations.

TinSoldier This seems like something you should chime in on. No one wants to hear their device is too old but that beats trying a zillion different solutions and tying up CS in frustration.

You need a 2017/2018 model iPad for smooth enough gameplay. 2GB RAM is the minimum requirement with 3GB becoming preferable.

The game is silky smooth on my iPhone 8 Plus (A11 chip + 3GB RAM) and the lag is slightly noticeable on my 2018 model iPad (A10 chip + 2GB RAM).

a few facts:

1. i have a xiaomi redmi 5 and it was running perfectly fine dominations till the 7.2 update came out.
2. not everyone can buy an apple device.

so, can someone recommend me an android phone that actually handles dominations fine without spending a small fortune?

What's a small fortune though? My device is also my phone, camera and main internet access point. The fact that it plays this game smooth as silk is merely a bonus. There's honestly no way I'd buy a new device just to play this game if it didn't have added value.

Parmenion's suggestions as far as RAM seem like a good place to start. Though I'd honestly recommend at least 4 GB of RAM or we'll be having this conversation again very soon. With dilligent searching you can probably find last year's devices for fairly cheap and be good to go for another 3 or 4 years. (I doubt this game has another 3 or 4 years.)

Truth be told though this sounds like more of a case of shoddy programming, not really sure what 7.2 added that wrecked the core game so much. There's really nothing to prevent the entire game from going belly up, regardless of the device, with years of spaghetti code strung together. My assumption is when it becomes too much hassle to maintain as a platform for pumping new sales gimmicks we'll see a Dominations 2. There's no money in fixing what's broken at this point.

Tl;dr if you need a new device to do other things, go for it. If everything else you need your device to do works fine, this game is probably not worth an upgrade. Your mileage may vary.

yep, whoever was responsible for the programming in the 7.2 update did a terrible job. 3 of my 4 accounts became useless from that update alone. the only account that's still playable is an industrial age account and not spending money on that. hope i'm wrong but whatever code is responsible for the lag is now too far embedded in the game. hoping dominations 2 comes out soon.

Xiaomi Mi9
Redmi K20 Pro
These have a Snapdragon 855(Samsung S10 also has this one and a Oneplus pro7)

The 855+ is slightly better but more expensive. (Google Pixel 4, vivo Nex 3, Xiaomi Mi Mix 4, vivo iQOO Pro, Nubia Red Magic 3S, Xiaomi Mi 9S 5G, One Plus 7T)

also Xiaomi Pocophone and Xiaomi Mi8 both have a 845 much better than your 450 (Redmi5) and cheaper than the ones mentioned above.
Still it has to do with the 7.2 update so it will help but I can't garantee anything.

I use a Samsung 5e tablet, Xiaomi Mipad 4 plus and a Oneplus5 for Dominations. WW I only play on the Samsung never tried the other ones.

it must be the update for the xingcode. I am reading several reports from players from other games that they experienced lag too!

Can I know what kind of device you are using now if not for a smartphone?

skychan see geekbench benchmarks https://browser.geekbench.com/android-benchmarks. Single core is more interesting as I doubt this game is using multiple cores. I'll add iOS too, you can see that Android devices don't come anywhere near Apple devices that are even 2 years old: https://browser.geekbench.com/ios-benchmarks. And if Dominations can tap into Metal API, then iOS advantage is even bigger.

The lag is caused most likely by inadequate CPU, so this is what you should pay the most attention to. Most newer devices will have plenty of RAM, although again, there's more to it than just capacity (frequency, timings, latency, etc.).

Looks like your phone needs more RAM for that. You can empty this memory by turning off all the unnecessary apps that are open. I would even recommend closing all the apps because it will give your additional phone power to process the game.
Another question is whether there are players to sell the accounts to in this game. I want to do my regular business here: develop an account and sell it to someone for real money. This is how I earn good money being a teenager. I already have a good and set up business in CS: GO, and I would like to expand it to other games too.

Device can not do more for you as game has coding problems and server weakness.
I didn't see a game used more than 8GB of ram.but it seems here you need 64GB Ram,1TB storage and 64Gb/s net speed.and christ blessing.maybe work.
