Diamond mine dissapointment

I just completed the event and got the mine. And it's a disappointment at best. 4 workers to mine every 8 hours? Why not make it in line with existing mines? And Hanging Gardens have no effect on it at all. The diamond every 8 hours is ok, but still, it cost me 8 or 10 diamonds in animal blessings to get it, so in the end I'll only get 21 in return. 30k gold is really nothing, single win in empire league gives me more than this mine in a day. Not impressed at all.

The only way I see to fix this is to leave the mine permanently, and perhaps adjust mining time, workers and Hanging Gardens effect in future update. Otherwise it's not really worth the effort for more advanced players.

Correct, single diamond. I only mined once so far, but I'm quite confident it will be just one every time.

The diamond mine is not much use to people in late IA as you only get 1 diamond and 30k gold every 8 bours. But for me playing in early IA, it has come just in time as i get constantly looted for diamonds and i lack the firepower to 5 star bases consistently. It allows me to get attacked, mine 1 diamond and mine another 1 in 8 hours hopefully before my pt ends so i can set off a tb. So people in late IA do not waste animal blessing to get diamond mines early. You have plently of time to get the mine in 6 days. Just do what you would do normally. The elephant archers are one time use and can not be trained so use wisely.

Yeah, I get the sense the devs don't really play the game. 1 diamond every 8 hours is nothing. Just like spending 4 million food and 3 days in library research to get 10 more oil every day from a stupid oil seep.

Also 30,000 gold every 8 hours will take over 80 days to "fill my coffers to the brim"

Yeah, i dont have 4 workers handy, and it would be dumb to keep 4 workers idle just for 1 diamond and chump change every 8 hours. I guess I wont waste my time farming for trade goods.

At least now we can share the 8 hour wait and 4 workers needed with others. The 1 diamond each time and 30 k gold was no surprise since it was wriiten in the description.

Don't be so negative people. I'm not doing anything differently, still collecting my trade goods and raiding like normally. I got some nice war elephants and gold for just doing the usual, so I'm not complaining. And the diamond mine is just a bonus. I feel you all are so entitled to complain about these extra events they are offering. Show some appreciation so they can bring more great events in the future.

I raided 60-70 diamonds,among other things to get to the 420 quotas in the first day. I rather have he ability to train the archer elephants. I think 3-4 diamond each time is about fair, one is just lame. I'm not putting in the effort on my second account. What's the up side?

After reading this, I regret having taken 3 Animal blessings. Why in the world would it require 4 workers? Who in the world would have 4 workers free in IA? I know I don't, my workers are busy improving stuff. Why couldn't it be 2 workers like the rest of the mines.

I really like the idea of a Diamond mine. Personally I think it should be a permanent item in IA. Every advanced civilization has jewellery, hence diamonds.
