This is what i think the nation powers and troop bonuses could be instead of the current ones and I like the idea of gaining additional unique troops and power ups as the ages go up.
Chinese: Each house has 3 citizens instead of 2 (can be balanced by having 1 less house)
Garrison defenders +1 ( each garrison makes 5 troops a wave instead of 4)
Destroyed resource buildings produce heavy infantry when destroyed (2 for farms and gold sacs, 3 for markets and mills and 1 cavalry for oil buildings)
Chu ko nu fires twice as fast and has 20% hit points
Koreans: Blessings duration and effectiveness increased by 10%
Refund resources (20%)
Traps are 20% cheaper to rearm.
Hwarang have 50% more damage but have a hit point penalty (10%)
British: Town center generates trade goods every 24 hours 1+1 per age
loot bonus (15-20%)
Roads have 20% more effectiveness
Longbow man has +1 range and 15-20% damage
French: +1 mercenary camp capacity
10% less resources and time for research (Blacksmith and library)
Alliance troops limit (the same perk)
Chevalier have 25% health and 10% damage.
Greeks: 10% refund on building upgrades
10% hit points to nation buildings and walls have 5% bonus health (with town centre)
Defenders have 10% more health
Companion have 25% damage and 10% health
Germans: Teutonic fury ( 20% damage)
Rally perks (the same)
Rally has minuteman effect ( low key so deal 10% more and take 20% less damage 6 seconds after rally)
Vandals have 20% damage and 10% health
Romans: Army size (20%)
Roman eagles: (Once a day summon an auxiliary army of 3 horseman, 10 legions and 10 archers) troop type goes up as per your age.

Legions have 25% health and 10% damage
Japanese: town center shoots at enemies and gain partisan defender (+1 per age)
for the duration of the peace treaties resource buildings produce 10 % more (basing this on edo period)

Bushi have 20% more damage and 10% more health
