The only new destination that requires only 1 worker gives a crop blessing and 4 trade good shipments. For 2 workers you get 4 diamonds and an air superiority blessing, or an army and 3 tea, or and army and 3 porcelain. For 3 workers you get an army and a medic blessing.

So you can still get diamonds, but it costs 2 workers and more time. Hard choice to upgrade. But I guess you have a decent chance of getting 2+ diamonds from the 4 trade good shipments.

Even though I have my shipyard at lvl 8 I'm not really sure how it all works in terms of what destinations get taken away when you level the shipyard up. I usually log in and see if there's something I want to use otherwise I pass but I've never kept track of what's there. I assume If I go to level 9 shipyard will that eliminate all the industrial age destinations leaving only the 8 and 9 places but if someone can confirm that'll be awesome. My favorite was Baltimore but since they changed it I don't find it as appealing now so if that's lost I'll be okay with that. Much obliged.

Here's what I've gotten so far:

Melbourne = 1 Air Superiority Blessing + 4 diamonds for 2 workers, ~11 hrs
Incheon = 1 ROK Army (8 Republic Riflemen, 1 APC, 1 Supply Convoy) + 3 Porcelain for 2 workers, ~22 hrs
Karachi = 1 Azad Kashmir Army (12 Freedom Fighters, 3 Vet Machine Gunners, 1 Vet Combat Engineer) + 3 Tea for 2 workers, ~22 hrs

I also got a NATO Army (1 AVRE Tank, 1 Attack Helicopter, 2 Heavy Field Mortars) as a general bonus on one of them, so this will be another army type available.

I really liked the 1 worker w/ diamond ones but these look great so far, and some of these armies (particularly the ROK Army) actually look useful so far. I'm also glad that they don't appear to require 3-4 workers; that's too much and I never did those. Two workers I can do. Glad I upgraded mine.

It's optional obviously but because I use the shipyard a lot, I researched the expedition tab in library. Like everything else it took a minute to finish the research but it cuts down the time of the expedition but most importantly it will reduce the citizen requirement by 1 so even with one citizen free I can still get some use from the shipyard. Also after reading up on the reply by Festivus, I'll make the shipyard my next building upgrade. I use the troop cards from shipyard constantly (Though luckily I've gotten to the point where I can win war battles without them and we don't face ranked alliances as far as we know so it's never about getting better time just getting more stars) since I don't want to put any cash into the game.

And what about expeditions that give scrolls, cheese and salt? Will they disappear or stay after the upgrade?

Here's the thought that came to my mind. When I click "upgrade" button, some expeditions are written in green - they will be added. And some expeditions are written in white - probably the ones that will disappear. Can anyone confirm this?

No, those are the destinations that will still be available. Those not written will be lost.

Whatever lvl your shipyard is, you have access to the expeditions of you current age and the one prior. When you click the upgrade button the white ones shown will still remain and as you said, the green ones are the new ones you will get. So depending on what location you like, it may or may not be worth it for you.

That's the downside of upgrading.
If only the other destinations were still available after upgrading, then all other NTGs will still be available. Why can't we have a selection of 9 or 10 expeditions to choose from? Why limit it to 3?
If Nexon wants people to war, why do they make it so hard for people to war properly?

I am amazed that people found a way to complain for a gimmick... While we are on the topic, for me, shipyard should be a way to get free army tactics and unique blessings. Everything else, I can get through other means. And for the first time I can actually congratulate BHG for doing a decent job(not perfect but decent enough)

I would like the possibility to obtain every NTG through the expedition, all the rest is otional (though I also like the 24hour peace treaty). I'm not complaining, I just want to decide whether it is worth to upgrade docks or not. The answer may be different for different players)

IMO yes. The troop cards are better, the times can be shorter. (the workers are less with the library upgrade).
And yes, it would be great if all NTGs were available as you upgrade, those docks are unlocked so why shouldn't they ALL be available to explore?

New army: Frontier Force Army, 1 Field Howitzer, 4 Vet Machine Gunners, 1 Vet Combat Engineer; 2 workers, ~22 hrs

I'm really liking these new troop cards from the dock. They're actually useful for a change, and fairly easy to get.

ETA: This was actually the Azad Khashmir Army, they modified it. I like this one more anyway with the FH. Guess the old one offended someone or something...
