DomiNations Update 12.15 - Quests

For Update 12.15, we’re shaking up your daily routine in DomiNations with Quests! This system will replace the Daily Goals with new Daily Quests, Age-related Quests, and a whole new suite of rewards to collect! Here's what you can look forward to before the 12.15 release scheduled for 2/26.

Daily Quests
With the new Quest system, you’ll have 10 Daily Quests to complete related to your current Age. Complete 9 Daily Quests, and you’ll earn a Chest with unique age-based rewards! Daily Quest rewards will be automatically claimed when you complete the quest, no additional tapping is required here!

For the Daily Quest Chest, you’ll see a notification around the Quest button that alerts you a chest can be claimed. You’ll go into the Quest Window to claim this Chest within the Daily Quest tab.

What if you Upgrade to the next Age before completing all Daily Quests?

• If you happen to Upgrade your Town Hall before completing all your Daily Quests, you’ll automatically complete them and be sent the Chest rewards! You will also be given brand new Daily Quests, tailored to your new Age.

What if I’ve already hit my resource cap? What happens to the rewards a Daily Quest offers?

• If you’re already at maximum resources, or the reward would push you over your limit, the Quest will not be automatically claimed. You will need to go into the Quest Window and tap the claim button for that reward once you make room for the resources, or collect for the space you have available. But be sure to claim these rewards before your Daily Quests reset the following day!

How will I know if I completed a Daily Quest?

• When you complete a Quest, you’ll see a banner pop out from the Quest button on the top left of the screen (underneath your resources). You can also open the menu to see the progress you have made!

What type of Quests will I be doing?

• The Daily Quests will vary, but they focus on things you’re already doing in DomiNations and are scaled to your Age. Some examples are:
  • Collect Resources
  • Defeat Defenders
  • Have Troops Survive
  • Contribute to a Parliament Law
  • Acquire a Councilor
  • Craft or Level Up an Artifact

Age Quests
Age Quests will have you explore the various avenues of progression available to you in each Age. Master new skills, explore new Units, or discover something for you to focus on upgrading. These Quests will include Story Quests and Side Quests. Each age will feature a Councilor with dialog giving you tips on what to focus on next and their insight. Both will offer rewards as you progress through the Ages!

You’ll have only one Story Quest at a time, a new Story Quest will become available as you complete them all while rising through the Ages. After you complete a Story Quest, if you have completed the requirements of the next Story Quest you can claim its reward immediately! Side Quests work a bit differently, as you can progress through and claim the rewards from multiple Side Quests at once.

Once completed, you’ll need to claim these Quests and their rewards in the Age Quest menu to proceed to the next stage.

What kind of Quests will I be doing?

• Age Quests will focus exclusively on developing your base in various ways. Think of it as an ongoing guide as you progress through the game. Some examples include:
  • Upgrade a General to Level Y
  • Fully Research a Library Technology
  • Upgrade X Farms to Level Y
  • Build a specific Building
  • Upgrade a Specific Building
  • Upgrade X Troop to Level Y

I’ve already made it to Automation Age and have maxed out my research and upgrades. What does that mean for me?

• You’ll be able to retroactively claim your rewards based on your current progression with the Questline! So if you’ve already completed the entirety of the Age Questline at launch, you’ll simply log in and claim free rewards!

Achievements
Achievements remain unchanged in this update, but you will find them in a tab within the Quests Menu featuring a new look!

Known Issue
We are tracking an issue where a Daily Quest reward is sometimes not automatically claimed when you have room for those resources. When this occurs, you can still manually claim the reward. Be sure to double-check that all rewards are claimed before the daily reset at 11am ET. We are actively working on a fix that may not make it in time for next week's release, but we expect it to be ready shortly after. If you encounter this issue, please contact our CS Team to help us pinpoint the exact cause and expedite our fix and solution.

 

So you are removing a reason for me to even read the daily quests with is update. Currently the only reason I do daily quest is for crowns. Giving me resources that I can easily get on my own removes a reason to play (F.Y.I. I am almost always at max resources because of how long it takes to upgrade stuff). Crowns rewards while not high at least allow me to build up till needed with no limit.

 

How about Daily Alliance Assists, we don’t know who are assisting the alliance. It would be better than Parliament. Our Parliament is complete

When your parliament is complete, your members are willing to donate.Then the assist shouldn't be a problem, right? Sometimes the requests are perhaps overlooked because it is not marked as a new message?

Also, such an overview tends to be misleading, because it depends on whether there are any requests at all. e.g. I fill my requests myself through multiaccounts and support 2 old requests from other members. Then I have 17 assists in the dashboard and my ally has 0, but he never had a chance either.

This is just as misleading as the statistics for troop donations; you donate if you have the right troops. As a result, high ages often have a surplus and small ages have a big minus and feel bad. But we all like to help and e.g. our automation RPGs are very useful for the medieval ages.

Hi; i have a point which is general. since last DEC there are discount on building upgrade, and still discount is there. please keep discounts for an event, and when event finished, remove discounts. there must be a meaning for discounts. 3 months off for Christmass really doesn't make sense.

 

The game has just been updated. Thanks for the many crowns for the long-ago completed tasks!
But the daily tasks are just "a chickens laugh"! 2-3-4 battles and all the resources you offer in the tasks will be received, and your "luxurious rewards" will again be out of place - the warehouses are all overflowing.

Do you really pay attention to discounts, do they help you in any way? It would be fine if there was a reduction in time, but resources in the game are not a problem at all, on the contrary - the problem is that there is nowhere to put them and spend them usefully.

Accept it! This game is full of "tails" (unfinished business).

If you'd read the events, you'd know that it's not the same discounts since December.
It's the Winter of Ages and that we're in the last week of it. Roughly one month with 60%, one with 50% and one 40%. Each with increased resource production.

Next week you can look forward to fewer resources and probably only a 25% discount on certain buildings.

I still think the summer/winter of the ages is good because it helps smaller accounts catch up; especially in the Age of Enlightenment, Industrial Age, etc., oil is still rare, so they can enjoy increased production and discounts.

Nice update! I’m enjoying those extra crowns. Hopefully, you reconsider your council rewards and introduce some research to improve the council’s odds in general. Thank you!

 

Ugh, why is this interface SO ducking painful? Every single step of the Story Quests requires four clicks to clear,p and all the boxen are misaligned....

 

Daily quests are fairly pointless tho, unless I complete them all, and the resets are out of synch. Parliament donations don't rest at same time as the daily tasks. Expeditions aren't always ready at right time. I started missions earlier without seeing the clock, and lost them all. It's a weird time to reset, why not midnight UTC?

 

I can't claim my oil daily rewards, even though I have space for them. I get an error message every time. Is this a me thing I need to raise a ticket for or a global problem?
