I just stayed up all night farming Diamonds for a War match. Lost when the Stronghold popped and bunch of cannons instantly killed half my army.

I've been playing this game since launch. I've put up with the terrible design decisions for awhile, but I'm done now. Pretty much all but three or four units in this game are useless, only one nation and one strategy is competitive, and defensive power creep has poisoned the endgame by making it almost entirely non-interactive; you just deploy a big long line of units and drop Decoys. It seriously crushes any desire to play because there's no progress to be made any more.

Try all heavy tank army. Much more fun than British rifle spam. Although I agree, defense is way too op right now. Nerf silo, return tactics to original state or remove stronghold defenders. Something needs to be done, game is not fun anymore. Right now 5 stars in war depends on perfect execution, drop one unit one tile off, or deploy planes 1s too late and you can kiss 5 star good bye. That's not fun, that's misery.

ive been logging in a lot less. im out of town this weekend, th-tu and probably wont log in at all when im gone. If i dont miss it at all then i probably will just delete, and move on.

Yep, I'm only a casual player. Log in twice a day, make 1 or 2 attacks. Do wars when I feel like it, but I'm finding the game boring. Not enough attacking strategies.
I played Coc for ​​​​​over 2 years. Lots of attacking strategies but honestly became too much of a headache. Trying to keep workers busy all the time on expensive upgrades, with this game you can just chuck them in uni, expeditions for a low cost alternative or use them for TG so still feels like progress is being made.
If defence has been addressed now, the devs must look at overhauling offence ​​​​to keep players interested. Be interesting to see the current active player base.

If they insist on this becoming a card-spamming game then the stronghold needs to be able to be stopped with sabotage again. At the very least troops from the stronghold should be damaged like they are from a destroyed castle.

For a game that has had persistent lag issues on Android for over two years now I don't see why they would want up to 140 troops suddenly appearing anyway. By the time one gets to global or atomic there can conceivably be close to 500 different units and animations being calculated when a stronghold pops. Not to mention what's going on under the hood. Throw a couple of decoys around and it's a disaster.

I wouldn't be surprised if that's one of the reasons for the silo. Force players to use more tanks and heavy tanks to reduce the load somewhat. Lord knows they would never consider limiting the cash cow troop cards.

If anything, silo encourages single approach, British rifle spam in line formation. Tanks or havy tanks in the mix are no go, as they will draw silo fire and your fragile troops get wasted as a side effect. All heavy tank army works against silo, but good luck with that against maxed base with maxed walls. Silo needs a nerf, it can kill your entire army in one shot, it’s worse than original bazooka tower.
