The Five Good Emperors (96-180 CE) oversaw the Roman Empire during what British historian Edward Gibbon famously called the happiest period in human history. Trajan (r. 98-117) brought the empire to its greatest territorial extent. He personally led campaigns that led to the annexation of Dacia (Romania), Armenia, and Mesopotamia. In addition to his martial prowess, he was a just ruler and able administrator who sponsored numerous public works to improve the well-being of his people. i feel like this event is to try and get us to upgrade our worthless farms. We arent going to make what we would normally save in a discount event with this current 80% increase....

They have run boosts before, that never stopped a weekly sale in the last year or 2.. they should at least mention something. Loyal players are expecting it.

You are clueless. The ratio of abandoned bases drastically decreases at the higher ages. Not only that, but there are a lot of bases that have not developed their production buildings because its a waste of efficiency.

Taking oil into consideration as its typically the only production building that is fully upgraded, the best case is an extra 10k oil over a 5 day period. As an IA player, if i had all 4 of my wells maxed the best i could do is gain an extra 6k oil. (i only have 2)

While i will like that little bit of extra oil, getting a 50% discount(what im used to getting) on a specific upgrade is way better. Most discounts i get at IA for oil upgrades are anywhere from 20k oil to 60k oil saved on each upgrade.

Food/gold is easy enough to obtain at IA level and below that really you shouldnt notice a huge difference in raiding

Forgot to add the oil blessing. I usually use 2 of those a day (18 hours worth of +22% production). I think the event modifies the base production, so the blessing is even more effective.

Your numbers are per well, so an extra 50k oil as atomic is better than nothing. But yeah, half off an expensive oil upgrade is better.

OMG youre right. i totally forgot to do all the wells. Again though, my point still stands, this event is trash compared to the normal weekend discount events.

Completely wrong statement. Peak of abandoned bases is at Industrial Age.

and whats after that, most people have quit either at IA or prior, THUS, there are a lot less abandoned bases at the later ages. IA isnt a later age, its really a middle age with 2 more ages coming.

Global has full access to IA bases. So it is issue only to atomic. And smart ppl will not rush towards atomic until there are enough bases to feed them.
