How does korea hold up?

I'm currently playing as French and I have 600 crowns. I'm looking for a good nation to potentially switch. I've heard British are fun but I'd like to change the look of graphics for my city. I like the cool violate of Korea. Are they a good choice?

Theoretically yes, they have powerful unique units that I'd like to try too.

+1 tactic wouldn't do much unless you're spending too much crowns.
10% refund I find it useless. But don't know, it's just me. I find all refunds useless anyway, because basically You can make 100% or 200% in your next raid.

I still think they're a good choice because of the 40% buff. We just need a good legit Korean player to confirm this all this.

40% buff, and you're questioning this if it's good? I'm in the gunpowder age as the Greeks, anything is better than them.

Roman infantry get 25% more hp so korea has a 15% advantage on that one unit. But then romans get 10% bigger army(10% more hp and 10% more dps for entire army rather than 40% dps for one unit). So romans are still much much better

Id take british over korea. 15% more dps + 1 range for their archers is better than 40% more dps im my book. Then u get 10% more loot raided

You should think about chinese too. His unique troop is better than korea in my opinion

Don't ignore germans. This faster rally with 'waves' of attacks could be a thing. Brits are awesome for 5-starring, it's a question what is better koreans +25% dmg (more than brits) or +1 range. I'd chose one of them instead of romans for sure.

I just swap chinese to korea. so far so good, the 10% refund is a sweet thing, even not much, but still can console you a little bit because the refund amount will show up in the screen for each defending battle. I am not very sure about archer buff effect as i only use 22 in my troops ( i have 120 max). Then about the +1 tactic, it is great at least for me. It is always good to have one more tactic for emergence.

Korea is better than Chinese in most cases, unless you happen to have 14 builders working and need a builder to dump gold in walls. As for the archers, completely outclass chu ko nu in stats, but british still have an extra range point to counter +25% dps.
