A little tip for anyone that wants to check out someone's base but the alliance text is written in Chinese/Korean. Take a screenshot of the defence log and upload it to https://www.newocr.com/. Select the language of the text in the picture and in the preview box make sure the marquee box covers just the player and alliance name. You'll then be presented with the characters that you can copy and paste into the game to look up the alliance.

For example:

Hmm... BHG should pay you since they can't figure out how to look up players with Asian characters... In their own game no less.

But hey, BHG has always relied on its players to sort their problems for them!

Thanks Parmenion! A good back-up for me if my new tool doesn't work, and helpful for anyone reporting a player.

That is very useful. Thank you for sharing. I have already used it and it works great. Sticky this post please.

Rather than stickying this thread, I'd prefer to see them make it so entries in the log link to the player's base and their alliance, so you can just click to check them out without having to go through the rigamarole Parmenion so helpfully describes.
