I came to the forums because a silo just took out my entire army. Blame me; I did not scout properly. Yes, I could have spent more time studying the base and avoided this...
But, I didn't. The reason is that this is a game. I cannot devote 100 percent attention to it at all times. Expecting me to is ridiculous. In MP to get the proper number of NTGs you need to make many attacks, and having a building where you need to pay 100 percent attention because there is really no room for recovery from error, and then I have to wait hours to get all my stuff back.. well, that just frustrates me (I would use more colorful language, but don't want to get censored or accused of derailing a thread).
If you all follow the forums or played with me, you know I am overly involved in this game. I am worn out though.
I think the player/developer communication shows no sign of improvement, and that is the root of the problem because no one who gets paid by nexon actually plays this game past Enlightenment age. I am playing less and less, and in the time I do play, I get frustrated with elements of the game. It is overwhelming completing events, getting ntgs, getting/dropping medals, etc A game should not feel like a stress in life. The player base is dwindling to leave the die hards (at least in higher ages), and eventually, even they will give up hope.
This game has such potential, but so many of the recent changes just show how little Nexon understand why people play this game. Hint: nothing to do with Marco Polo coming every weekend, nor with hunting or picking apples. NOR with people spending money on one time use items.
As for pay to win, it is a long term view vs short term. It might indicate that revenue is low when they offer overpowered buildings/troop cards. If so, they are shooting themselves in the foot. If revenue isn't low, they clearly need to sell the game because they have no idea wtf they are doing... (wtf stands for "why they fail- please don't censor me).
I'm tired of hoping that eventually Nexon will come through... No freaking idea why they refuse to listen.
Someone who has a full time job cannot play this game competitively without spending money or being stressed out (unless your full time job allows you to play this game). That really limits the potential player base. (If you are EA or below and want to argue with me, just wait to argue until you age up.)
Of course there are exceptions that will argue with me, but poop is usually right.
