Wise,

I feel that the advertisement video for “Call me a Legend” is inappropriate for the game. Can you take a look? Kids don’t need to see that garbage (adults either IMO).

thanks!

That might be partially true, but I think they are tuned to IP location tracking, not players. If so, I would not see garden scape, age of Z, or empire matching garbage games.

If it started showing me hydroponic gardening stuff then I would believe you.

I say location because there is a local lawyer that advertises through Dominations. Lol. I prefer his videos as they are 15 seconds long.

Hey there! We have a history of keeping a close eye on the kinds of ads we show and investigating / pulling any ads that we feel aren't what we want in DomiNations (Game of Sultans is one notable example). If you can provide a screenshot if you see the ad again, I'll be happy to bring it to the team!

Yes. Porn is the most addictive force out there. I do not want increased exposure to my kids. The oldest 2 happen to have accounts. They should not see this in a game rated 12+.

I don’t have time to go into details, but the brain is still in development mode until about the age of 23. Exposure to this kind of crap at a young age hinders brain development and makes it more difficult to form correct and proper relationships when older. I don’t want single kids who don’t know how to talk to others and never get married because all they can do is look at porn all day long.

you might think this is so little, but I fight the over availability of porn everywhere. TV is mostly light porn nowadays. I would hope that BHG can keep their ads clean.

Another one, Weed Farm or whatever it's called.

Marijuana is legal in some US States and its completely illegal in Europe apart from Portugal, Netherlands and Czech Republic.

I don't want my nephews asking me or their dad about "marijuana" games.
I smoke it like there's no tomorrow, but I'm a grown man not a teenage kid that is very impressionable.

Games have been sexual in nature for a long time although it used to be more subtle-ish. For example, female characters with armor that covers a small portion of their bodies; much like a bikini. Then over time effects were added; like jiggling bosoms... fast forward to today with, for example, games involving "dating" where you make a terrible decision like do you "let him kiss you" ... games aimed at kids.

Anyways, I have no real point except to say that this world is weird; and that we all must talk about these things with our kids sooner rather than later as they'll likely hear about it anyways... so it's best to be from you rather than a friend or weird game/advertisement.

Thanks for the diligence everyone! Completely agree that we should look into these, and I've passed them along to the team!

If people want sexy ads removed that's fine, but it's amusing to me to see such complaints while those very same impressionable kids playing a game that glorifies and sanitizes warfare is apparently no problem. Would Sally Ride or Amelia Earhart have liked to see themselves associated with improved machine guns and military bombers? I suspect not, but I don't recall anyone objecting to their kids being exposed to those mischaracterizations.

Right! One nude body part and ARRRRgg..the end of the world. But nuking cities, killing enemy armies, guns, violence, death, this all seems ok and perfectly normal. But these ads should be nowhere in the first place.

I as a 40 year old man don’t want to see these garbage adds, much less my 3 kids that play the game also. Personal preference but it is a much smaller leap from porn to treating women like objects and developing bad behaviors and habits towards women than it is from dropping soldiers on a battlefield to murder and violence.

Thanks for calling this out, we'll be sure to remove this ad
We don't want any NSFW ads popping up and block any we come across but some companies find sneaky ways around the system. If you find any others please send them to me in a message and I will relay them to the team. Again, thank you!!
