iOS 11.4 getting message “Good news! A new version of the game is available”

When I launch the game this message comes up and can’t continue. If I click the update button it brings me to AppStore but there is no new version... Stuck... have tried resetting, reinstalling, logging out and into iCloud, everything I can think about. I also signed into my Game Center account on another device and same issue happens.

Can't get into game. Says update is available...but no update.

A buddy of mine can't log into his dominations game since yesterday. Says there is an update available but when checking App Store there is no update. He's tried restarting and hard resetting his device as well as uninstalling and reinstalling dominations app. Nothing has worked. Please help

My alliance was having connection errors yesterday but it wasn’t due to update. Did they try to refresh the update screen? In the App Store for my updates it says dominations was updated today. Maybe tell them to set their updates on auto update and see if that works

Last update on iOS was 3 weeks ago. And yes, have tried all the resets, reinstalls, etc... just something wrong with the game center file I think but because I reinstalled, it’s the only way to get my town back once issue is fixed as every time I restart, it asks me if I want to load that file and as soon as say yes, the message comes up. I am afraid that if I say no I will lose my cwa town which would not be good.

He probably used more than 1 Apple ID to log in to App Store before.
Any further update in this case? Resolved or anything?

Try these (choose one or could try all).
1. Uninstall the game. Log out current Game Center profile, then log in with other Apple ID. Download the game. You can change again once this method works.
2. Uninstall the game. Log out current Apple ID on AppStore. Log in with other Apple ID, better if never used that ID to purchase Dominations. Download the game.
3. Restore to factory settings. Note that we need to back up all datas before restoring.
Btw, what iOS does it run on? Should probably upgrade its firmware to the latest.

iOS 11.4... upgraded on same day as problem started but was able to launch after upgraded. Tried your first meathod as I haven’t tried that method yet but still no luck... I even factory reset and restored the backup before the 11.4 upgrade... no luck. Also, logged into game center I’d on another device that I have never logged into, downloaded and still got the same message after saying yes to loading my CWA base.

I am convinced that the iCloud game center file is corrupt but no idea how to fix.

Thanks for the suggestions btw.

Hm, that's complicated. This could be bug related to firmware on particular devices. You reported to CS?
For temporary solution I guess the only way to play is by switching device 😕
I play on older firmware with iOS 10 and 9.3 , no such problem (except the scrolling issue lol)

As I mentioned earlier, the issue followed the Game Center account across devices. I can’t contact CS because I can’t actually get into the game because of the message. I tried thru there website but it’s been over a week and no response. I am going to see if I can downgrade the iOS version. Haven’t tried that yet.

Hm, don't downgrade iOS, cause some of your other apps might not work after downgrade! 😮
What if you reset device but set as a new one (not using your current backed-up iCloud). Redownload the game then login to the your main GC account.
The best way to contact CS will be a direct message ingame, so you might want to ask help from a friend to contact them.
This is one of the most complicated account issues I have ever heard lol.

I have an idea that might work. You have 2 devices right? I assume you play on 2 or more accounts also. First you have to reset both devices. Then both have to be set as a new phone/device (using different Apple ID's). On the second device, you will try to play a new account with new GC account.
After your new game is created, switch to your main GC account. If you're lucky, this might trigger the server to reboot.
When it's succeeded, you can move the account to your first/main device. I guess it has iCloud conflicts in first device. If it's been rebooted, your Apple ID might work normal again.
Good luck, cause I'm running out of ideas 😂

No good.... even tried on a brand new iPhone. Guess will just have to say goodbye to my lvl 274 base and stay away from Nexon games in the future. Real shame to loose like 3 years of work over a corrupt iCloud file which is what I believe it to be. If only there was a way to force a download from the game server to refresh it :( Thanks for all the ideas tho... it’s appreciated.

Oh well ... That's so sad 😕 should have reported this. I almost lost my progress several times but good thing I played both on iOS and Android. And connected my games to Facebook lol.
You should contact this forum admin.

Just so record is strait, tried with 3 accounts using in game support, and 2 times on there support site... website, no response, in game bs answers and picture after picture, just close the ticket... your support is better then there’s unfortunately. I would really caution players not to spend cash on game because it may not work tomorrow.

Advise for others, always backup your account to Facebook. It's really helpful just incase you have iCloud/Google drive issues in the future.

Lol, no sweat. I'm a real CS at my office, understand exactly how to resolve issues and handle complaints. Maybe BHG or Nexon could hire me?! 😄
