Is it me or are Archers stupidly strong?

Their damage sucks lol...they're only good against infantry and stealing outside loots.

They aren't that strong. Since they keep a safe distance to some of the warriors they manage to survive and also other close combact warriors take most of the damage.

Are you saying your defense buildings are getting destroyed by teams of archers and nothing else? Maybe you need to change up your town layout or upgrade your towers?

Guys i think he is referring to the British Unique troops that is a long Bowman. If you build an army out of them they should be able to attack everything outside of the range and easily decimate the defenses but since i am not british i am not sure how this works exactly.

British longbow men are good at low levels but as walls get tougher they lose their impact.

I mean couldn't you just make longbows attack over the walls or even make some miners?

They can attack over the walls. But if they wanna get in they have to go through. If you have a decent base then shooting over 1 wall isn't enough

I play as British and I find that the longbow troops don't deal near enough damage to chew through buildings fast enough.
I keep a squad of about 10 for garrison elimination duty and use cavalry and phalanxes for the defense and building damage respectively. works pretty well.
