so guys i wanna hear ur opinion about if it's worth upgrading walls anymore or not

since using base designs with deliberately leaving gaps in walls (to fill with traps and force enemy troops to move on these traps) became so common and the best way to guarantee traps effectiveness

i have seen so many highly skilled players using these designs obviously ignoring lvling up their walls for that reason

and yea if you use that design (which proved to be much more effective than the traditional boxes/blocks design), what do u need high lvl walls for?

not to mention the last update making wall miners very overpowered against walls by opening a huge gap which can be achieved by low lvl miners facing high lvl walls

please tell me what you think and if u don't know what
am talking about here, check some YouTube war videos in high ranks, i need to know if it's worth it spending much time upgrading walls or not..

It doesn't guarantee trap effectiveness at all. The counter to such a layout is to blow a hole in the wall, as far away as possible from the open sections, and enter there. You're guaranteed to evade the traps then.

High level wall give you greater flexibility in base design. Besides, why would alliances like Korea Army and Good People bother investing their resources to get walls to level 15 if it was just placebo?

Nope not useless at all.. some troops like tank and archers get stuck and walls and hold them up for very long time..

I think something like lvl 10 or 11 is sufficient to hold up troops (troops that shoot through walls) - anything more is your choice.

If you're not upgrading your walls, what else do you do with gold and food once your coffers are full? It seems a waste to not upgrade them in higher levels when you have to wait days 'n days for upgrades to complete?

using wall miners guarantee trap-free zone at the point of entry not the whole map
and yea am saying wall miners are extremely overpowered against walls, IA wall miner can take down lvl 13 walls and we all know that most of global age and AA don't even have lvl 12 walls

if u have 2 weeks + upgrades u got nothing to spend on except walls (if u play too much and accumulate resources of course)

a lvl 11 wall can hold shooters and tanks for long time if they get stuck on it cuz 2-3 units stuck will take forever to take it down

i know it's just about if it's worth spending more time for wall upgrade race or not, just upgrade them when i have extra rss of my regular play time since it's not competitive anymore

I'm about half way to all lvl 11 walls and can't imagine going higher. Taking my gates up to lvl 14.

Thing is when I finish that I'll play far, far less often. For instance it only takes my half a day to capture resources for a 14 day upgrade so what would I be playing for?

yep am talking about the idea of spending extra time and effort to upgrade them rather than regular daily play times

Well strong walls eliminates rally effectiveness on a good built maze layout. Offense is forced to adjust when attacking. and i agree with vincentdang4. it gives a lot of flexibility when building your base, and i think with high level walls, the best option is to avoid standard box layouts.
