Issue with receiving troop donations

Me and my uncle are in an alliance, he’s British atomic and I’m French industrial. Whenever I request for 15 troops, he can only donate 6 riflemen before the screen goes away. However when I donate to him I can give him 1 of my tanks and 5 shooters.

How come he can only donate 6 before the screen goes away? Is it because his troops are more valuable?(at atomic level)

EDIT: i think I figured it out, Is one only allowed to donate a total of 6 troops regardless of capacity? He sent me 7 shooters one time idk if it wasn’t meant to happen or a bug or intentional.

You can donate a total of 6. So if he only donates gun troops you only get 6. Each troop you donate only takes up 1 of the 6 spaces. I can get 30 donated troops so I could get 3 tanks or 3 howies with 3 guns

Yes ,donations are limited in 6 troops regardless of how much troop takes troop space
