Layout editor crash

Dear God... this is frustrating beyond belief and has been a bug for quite some time for me and certain players.

I have not for the life of me been able to get into the layout editor for months. I'm unable to easily change my layouts or try new ones!!! Every time I push the button, the game freezes for a second then crashes/closes out. This is such a basic huge feature of improving base defense in the game with more layouts, not to mention layouts are part of what certain players love!

I contacted support and they said it's a known bug, it's also listed in the "list of known bugs" as "Investigating". How long does it take to investigate this?

This crash also occurs on my iPad Air as well. So it's not just on my device. I used to be able to delete the game app and redownload it and the layout editor would work for just that game session only. Then it would crash all game sessions following that first one. This workaround is no longer the case anymore, I redownload and install the game, boom - crash occurs now without fail. I've been stuck on the same layout for months and have been dying to tweak and change it. The fact that not every iOs user has this problem but certain ones do is even more frustrating.

Is anyone else having this issue? and is there any workarounds that work these days?

First of all big thank you for the reply Nb4powerup.

I dont see it though on the list of Bug Fixes and Improvements, is there any other reason for that as the fact that the dev team is not sure, whether the fix is working?

Nb4powerup I don't see it either on the release notes. The only note I see is:
"Fixed crash in map editor when canceling with a building off the edge of the playable area"

This is not the crash we are referring to, we are getting a general and overall crash whenever pressing the layout editor button. This is a huge feature that we cannot use whatsoever to edit/change layouts and has been an issue for many months.

Can you please clarify?

Same here, still crashing immediately when I click the "War Base" tab in the editor. Frustrating because I want to add my Stronghold to my war base - that's kind of the point of that building, right?

Update: 5th attempt was the charm. Made sure I updated all 3 of my war bases while I had the opportunity.

I ended up upgrading my phone over the weekend from an iPhone 6 to a 6s and the layout editor was working prior to the update. I'm sorry gentlemen. If I hadn't upgraded, I would definitely be in the same boat and this error is shameful. Nb4powerup This is basic functionality of the game and has been a damned problem for too long.

Managed to edit war base during the planning date for ww. Did the same as Bowmore... now War base edit works 10/10. Normal base still crashing
