Naval battles in Dominations

I’d like to see a Navy in the game Dominations. There have been tanks, planes, even Greek fire added to the game, yet the only boats seen are a travel boat to get resources, a reward boat for actually fighting other people’s towns, and a crown ship. Yet there are many different famous battles that took place in the sea and could not have been won in any other case. Take Admiral Yi for example, since he was added I wanted to see him on a ship, banging his war drums to the beat of the death of corrupt nations. Yet he is just kinda like another general, mounted on a horse.

The way a navy could work in the game is similar to how normal units work now. At the start of creating an empire, you are not introduced to sea travel, it is at the Iron Age that you are first able to create boats meant for domination.

depending on the nation is the kind of boat you’ll start out with, row boats and flag ships being the first practical boats used to fight and so on.
Here is my idea for nation chosen boats
Europe can start with row boats as seen in old Greek mythology. Their main weapon being a ram and boarding being their main form of domination. Asia can have flagships. Their main weapon would be archers or any ranged unit so long as the person meets the requirements of that specific age. Basically meaning that they’d have to upgrade their docks in order to upgrade their boats in order to fit more units to fight on them. The “age” or time period would also play a factor seeing as how we humans werent exactly born with a ballista in our hands. With time, research, and conquest, a strong and powerful navy can be achieved. Limited of course to a set amount of ships so the game is still smooth. Also, when I say “Europe” I mean Rome, Greece, Germany, England, and France. Asia is of course Korea, China, and Japan. There will be a line at which the research on the boat construction intersects. I will leave that up to you guys to decide.

Once again, this is but an idea. I would love to see it happen but I also realize how much time and effort must have been put into making such an amazing game. To add this isn’t like adding a whole other world to the game. With how much effort it would take, the game might have to be buyable. Yet still, it would be pretty sweet to ram a Greek ship with phalanx soldiers into a Roman ship. Or trap Japanese ships and out maneuver them into destroying themselves. All the while having a General beat the drums telling the navy to attack with all they’ve got.

Thank you for reading this far, and for your time.
