Perhaps someday a Navy option could be added.

Have it where workers must construct a dock/ship yard and maybe even have to dredge/expand the water around their base to unlock a passage to the 'sea' and allow bigger ships to be built and docked.

I know alot would be needed to be done for this to happen, especially concerning the battles but if it were done properly I think it would be awesome and would really help the game stand out from others similiar to it.

Anyone else have any ideas to add?

Please refrain from negative pointless posts. Keep it limited to constructive ideas that will actually help.

Cheers :)

Its a good idea, but how can we implement it in actual raids/gameplay. Right now the map is only comprised of land terrain. If you could think of a way to implement this into actual gameplay while not making it laggy, due to the seer size. Then this can and should be implemented

Yah there would be quite a bit of work needed to get it to work properly in the battles but it could be done.
It just needs to be well thought out first.

We could have new buildings too like anti ship missile batteries and other defenses too.

Submarines would be cool too.

Once your builders unlock access to the sea could make an option to have open sea multi player battles too instead of just attacking bases.

After all there is alot more to a nation than just land battles, especially in modern age warfare.

I know it seems impossible and far fetched but if could be done and really it wouldnt be that hard.
It would just take time to code and test.
But this is stage 1...brainstorming and planning ideas.

Others must have some ideas to expand on this idea too?

What I was thinking was like once you reach the gunpowder age/enlightenment age you gain access to the sea (since most of history's naval events generally started during those time periods), where you can create a naval "base". Except instead of a town center, you use the dock (which will be the dock that you get the league rewards from). From there you can build patrols where ships spawn when danger occurs (like garrison) and later on minefields and anti ship guns. The garrisons produce light ships while the dock produces the heavy ships. Moreover, maybe they could make it so that the player can create trade routes that in turn generates a lot of food and gold per hour, that way the player has a form of resource gathering. In terms of attacking you can make it like so:

Usually when a battle starts the player places troops and the battle ensues. However, if they implement naval warfare they could make it so that before the land battle, the player must be able to defeat the naval section of a player's base before they can actually access the regular land part. For example, lets say a German player attacks a British player, first the German player must get past the naval defenses that the British player put up with their naval troops, then if the German player wins and captures/destroys the dock, then the German player will be able to land his land troops onto the British players town and raid him.. If the German player fails to destroy the dock, then at least he is able to gain the resources by plundering the trade routes.

This actually promotes a lot of strategic thinking since not only do players have to worry about a land battle, but also a sea battle. Finally, even if players fail to destroy the dock, they would at the very least be able to raid the trade routes which will grant them a hefty sum of resources.

I'd love to see a sort of Boom Beach Sea assault vs Beachhead Defense implemented in a separate but equal way.

I tend to get bored hunting deer and doing the same raids over and over. Having two game-types in one game is something I have never seen in a game like this before.

High hopes for this.

Here's another thing, you know that in our bases there is not only a dock by an alliance gate and that road going to the mountian. Perhaps the devs could make it that during a raid, the player has a choice for a naval to land invasion or a straight land invasion. Like I stated above, the naval and land invasion would yield a lot of resources (your essentially stealing two bases worth of resources) but has more risk since if you fail the naval invasion, you fail the raid, whereas with the land invasion, it would be how it is right now. By doing it like this the player is given a choice, either go for the "safe" land invasion but miss out on a lot of resources, or go for the sea and land invasion and get a ton of resources, but have a higher risk for failure.

No problem m8, hopefully the devs check this out. After all, naval conquest/trade was an important part of history

We have only one game mode, siege. But I would love to see Line battles and Naval clashes. Naval clashes could be fought in the high seas or for supporting the troops like Boom Beach, but I couldn't think Nexon and Big Huge Games would even accept it.

Yah I doubt it will happen too but if it did it would make this a one of a kind game :)
