It's been a while since I was in the Classical Age joining a new Alliance. When you first begin the game, does it show you that there is a chat screen? So many new players join our Alliance and never chat.

I think reason being many might not want to chat but there comes a point early on when you can't progress in the achievements unless you join an alliance. All 3 goals have to be done in an alliance. That's what happened with me. I was adamant I was not going to use chat and avoided alliances but then I had no choice and the rest is good history 😁 possibility many may not speak same language. Seen that from time to time but if you're ignored for a long time and given plenty opportunìties then maybe they don't fit with you guys. That's the way I would see it. If they have never ever chatted...

Thank you all who replied. We usually dont keep them very long with no chat and troop requests.

It can seem like a chore but you need to keep kicking until you find someone that'll stay. We have always had alliance open with minimum 200 medals but we kick maybe 2-4 people every few days. It doesn't matter when they can attack or not just as long as they keep up with the chat so that we can further explain the rules to them otherwise there will be issues later. If it helps, we followed suit of another alliance and put the message on the alliance gate that when joining they need to say "Hi" or "hello" otherwise they can/will be kicked. That message will be seen before they click join so really if they can't follow that simple request than we kick and move onto the next players. If someone joins, doesn't say anything and just request troops they definitely get kicked when the opportunity arises. I think it depends on how many people are in your alliance so some might be more forgiving but we have 43 core players so with little space available we have become picky. We made the mistake of keeping players for months though they never listened and caused us losses in war but we kept them in alliance because they were there for so long.

It's pretty cold to boot someone just for not talking. A lot of people like the game but dont like the interaction.

If they don't talk they don't learn. Not harsh to kick them at all... if its a rule to talk on the alliance message banner before joining then they are the rude ones for joining and thinking they don't have to follow the rules.

Saying hello is the first rule of our alliance, it is in the alliance description. If you can't read and follow it, goodbye.

Communication is key to war, and most of the point of having people in our alliance outside of war as well - people to discuss the game with, or maybe things beyond the game at times. Those who don't say hello when they join mostly don't change, and it isn't worth wasting space to see if they do.

If you get booted, all you have to do to rejoin is wait 24 hours and then join politely the second time.
