Not saving mercenary purchases

I've run into multiple incidents where I've logged in, harvested goods, fought a battle, and then spent any diamonds and goods on mercs (Atomic Age) before logging out. The problem is that when I log back in, I've had multiple instances where it didn't save my purchase of a mercenary, and then I've been attacked and my already spent diamonds were stolen in the attack. This has happened at least 8-10 times through this and the previous update. Today, I even used 20 crowns to purchase a second diamond, hire a Tank Destroyer, and then lose that hire when I logged back in after getting attacked. It's really frustrating, especially when diamonds are tough to come by in the Empire league. Is this a known bug and is there some way I should be closing the app out different (on my Android) to make sure it saves my purchase? Please help.

havent heard of this before but definitely contact CS. Im always OCD about losing the last progress before logout too. Not sure where i heard it but i thought i read that collecting resources forces a connection to the server so before i logout now i do a round of collecting food gold and oil. I havent had any issues but this could just be the building of a false superstition.

Wait at least 20 seconds before logging out. The game has to communicate to the server that you bought the mercs. If you close the game before that occurs, the server won't get that info, and won't log your actions. I've had the same thing happen with upgrades. Thought I started it, but wake up in the morning and it didn't start. Just wait a bit before logging out and all is good.

One way to force an update to the server is to load or remove a troop tactic in your stronghold.

wait about a minute before logging out after things like merc purchase or research/upgrade start.

If you are in a rush to log out collect your road and wells real quick even if its a tiny amount or nothing at all. Resource collecting triggers the game to save progress and sync. Since I started doing this I've never had another issue as you describe or upgrades just disappearring after starting.

Nope it does exactly what you say. I learned this trick in another game I used to play when I experienced these types of issues.
