Patch 5.5 is a HUGE ISSUE

Lets prefix the topic this way. While we somehow can work around the twisted logic for the stronghold change making them spawn all the troops after destruction is an idea straight out of the jokers brain. What would have been a better change? reduce the defense amount (if you so badly were pressed by paying base of the game) by half AA and by 2 IA and below and make them spawn like forest defenders after destruction of the stronghold. I think there is compromise in that.

Now, the tactics changes are as bad as this game can get. First off, you have absolutely thrown all players fron EA, GA, and MA to the dumpster with the changes to sabotage and protection that rightly so are the most useful in all out attacks. Second IA i would bet is almost impossible if not utterly impossible to do a 5 star against any alliance with any sort of time investment in the docks or purchasing power of tactic-troops with the tactics and stronghold change combined as it is; And overall make IA play style miserable. Whoever you listened to to implement this change better be bank rolling you because this change will rub everyone the wrong way. I for one already have players from my alliance telling me that other than collecting resources from farms and camels, and WW attacks putting stuff only when they collect enough they wont engage in any other way with the game.

Want to attract more players? improve quality of life. i.e [(edit):make NTG more obtainable like the rate of diamonds as they dont always drop even with 5 stars], allow us to chop woods in bulk not for X amount for the duration the last forest would have lasted in chopping. You cant have your players grind the space when literally every other game either increases your space through your life time playing or outright gives you all the space. Allow us to have 1 investigation of each book category at any given time in the library (i.e 1 economy 1 troop 1 defense). WW replays. Share attacks. Anything but going out of your way yo condemn more all new players, up and coming players and already struggling players due to a broken matchmaking to a life of misery which will only lead to them LEAVING THE GAME. Please nexonm for the love of God REVERT THE TACTICS CHANGE AND ACTUALLY ENGAGE THE COMMUNITY IN A MEANINGFUL WAY.

P.S the tie-breaker rules are also bad considering the state of matchmaking and sandbaggers. At least allow us to report sandbagging alliances while a fix for this MASSIVE ISSUE is on the works. Make your players want to engage more with the game not leave by the bunches.

We all like the game and want it to succeed, please.

P.S 2 If Anyone feels like i missed something or that something should be added do comment.

The tactic change isn't the main problem, it's the sandbagging.

It seems like you are a farmer and you have no idea what you are talking about. The tactics are not the main problem? Any game should give you a chance to be able to achieve the goal. In this case to 5 star in WW. We are facing a team now with full atomic bases and Bazooka towers in their bases. Before that you could deal with it. But now with most useful tactics taking 2 capacity how do you expect players to deal with it? You are complaining about sandbagging but actually you have no idea how to fight, that's all. In our alliance IA guys could 5 star half Atomic bases (before the tactics decrease). So you could too so instead of complaining about sandbagging start improving your game play. Just for your info, the sandbagging is a result of nexon's poor matchmakingin WW and it's a part of the game. Any alliance can decide what players to include in WW and nothing is wrong with it. But it seems you all complaining about alliances using Iron orclassical ages instead of pushing nexon to fix their matchmaking algorithm.

I welcome the tactics space change, even if it hurts my tactics pool. Tactics with the now increased space were a way overpowered compaired to the rest of the tactics pool. This clearly called for ballancing, but no one was asking for it because everyone was taking an advantage of the unballanced situation. Finally, we could see more variety of tactics in action. Is time to learn a new strategies, other than sabotage a half of the opponet's base.

Well said Jarl.
In fact NEXON / BHG is totally missing the point. Their interest should be to please the gamers who love this game and those usually play a lot. For these players the most fun is of course in attacking. You can't play 'defense'. Even after tweaking your base the result comes maybe only in a few days, when you are finally attacked by a comparable opponent.
If their intent was to give those potential spenders hard time, then they have succeeded. I have spent ca 20$ / month on this game, which is not much but just doing it for the last 2 years it's around 500$...Currently I play twice a day a one hour session, when I do 10-15 mp attacks / one session for collecting NTGs. That will be halved now, as the tactics will not be available for all those attacks... so I will have to shorten my playtime as after attacking 5-6 opponents I will have to stop... It will be even harder to get ready for war, which will bring frustration...
The destroyed SH spawning forces is another nail in the coffin... How can an attacker handle a stronghold packed with 16 tanks and 4 Tank Depots, Forrest defenders? In this case the attacker has to handle some 35-40 defending tanks with an army size of max 200... are you gone really crazy? The fat wallet alliances will sky rocket in glory and enthusiastic players will just turn away and curse for a while.
The current work in my armory is the upgrade of the betrayal to its last level... I'm upgrading a tactic for ca 10M food which I will never use... this is just plain ridiculous... It could have been said maybe a month ago, when the April Spotlight came out... no, the two worst news for the community were not mentioned till 2 days ago. Coward, ignorant and greedy people do that. No discussion, just a slap in our face. Well done, guys, now you can lean back and watch the exodus....

Jarl, Radzeer and others .... I`m totally at the same opinion that you are. NEXON not resolving old problems, just making new features for earning fast money. After last updates I decided - no more spending money for this game... will be easier to delete account after some time ;)

I remember a few bad updates from the past and major uproar in the forums...
Considering the fact that the forums were a much more lively place that time its impressive how many bad comments this update is getting-

Maybe its time to retreat, NEXON, or?
Maybe we "less important clients (i.e. not paying enough, for our voices to be considered)", could use the Stronghold card slots for our beloved tactic slots? As we are not really using these slots anyway, we dont have too many card armies.

There was the nerf on the heavy cavalry's dps first, then the raiders build time, a few other units were nerfed then (without extra attention), but the tactics were kind of OK for two years... only the demolition tactic's dps against resource buildings was touched.

I find it quite amusing, that something what was never ever(!) criticized from the player base gets so simply changed to being less effective.

The success of Domination was always related to its play-ability, simple but still variable enough, without a clear path to mastery. Its evolution in the last few months moves the game away from the first (play-ability) and gets it near to a game where success will be measured by money spent. As mentioned above - we all play the game for the fun of attacking... in the past Nexon took out a few of our gadgets when they turned out to be destroying the variability (heavy cavalry, raiders, bazookas). This was not even near those.
I doubt that increasing the effects of other tactics were ever considered.
Heal's effect could be raised to 5% hp restoration, or duration could be scaled up (in both cases to reach 100% hp at the end of its duration)
Barrage radius and damage could be slightly increased
Demolition's radius could have been also increased or it could have extra damage on walls...

But no Nexon wanted to nerf, not buff - the old story again. Make it fun first, then when gamers are addicted make it expensive.

Sad, sad day for Domination fans...

Yeah. At this point it's not the nerf that bugs me. It's the shady way they went about it. The post about the update goes up on 3/31 with nary a mention of the tactics nerf or stronghold buff. They could have easily sent out an inbox message with a simple yes/no checkbox regarding their plans months ago. Granted, they could easily manipulate the numbers to get to whatever conclusion they decided on, but at least the player base would have had some sense of agency and fair warning.

Dude players below IA do exist, you know? this totally wrecks anyone in those ages that are relegated to 2 tactics. Betrayal, protect and sabotage are the most used for a reason. they are the most USEFUL. After sitting on the situation (was rage filled when i wrote this) IA may and thats a big may have some more wiggle room with decoy but other ages will have it super rough. specially GA below who are relegated to 4 spaces and a sabotage will always be needed for a Town center behind a wall least you want an Alliance troop(s) to wreck your entire army from over the wall. Im sure if they actually engaged the community with the concern you presented some people (we are supposedly 52 million players) could have suggested something more viable than this farce that they could work with to actually balance the tactics

GA players can still use 2 sabotages. One on TC, and second one on anything else they fear the most. You are right that the tactics mentioned are the most useful, but they are also overpowered at the same time. Letting players to have plenty of sabotages or betrayals renders donating aliance defenders useless.

I was also at GPA and I was using different strategies to deal with the TC spawned defenders. Since then, I didn't use sabotage on TC. Well ballanced army with other tactics will do it better.

Anyway, I can understand a frustration if you put all your research into sabotage ingnorig other options. This hurts you more than a well balanced player.

The issue I have is the Build Time for tactics. It already takes too long to build one but now a tactic of 1 space takes the same time as one of 2 spaces. So if I have 6 spaces, it would take 4 hours to build 6 heals. Cut the time in half or more for those tactics of 1space
