Performance on different devices

I play on my Galaxy S7 at work (just quick 5-10 minute sessions to farm trees and mines, or drop some medals), and on a nVidia Shield K1 at home (the bigger screen makes attacks much easier). According to various sites, the K1 should have marginally better performance than the S7, but I find the opposite. Especially after an attack, the K1 can take 20 seconds to return to my base, but on the S7 it is almost instantaneous. I also play a 2nd base on an iPhone 6S, and that also has good performance.

Another difference; I get no strange behavior when playing on the phones, such as "cannot connect to server" when viewing replays, or "cannot retrieve video" ad errors.

Is the game optimized for certain devices? I think the modern Apple A9 processor in my 6S and the snapdragon 820 in my S7 are the difference.

I find performance to be pretty terrible on my S7 edge with lots of lag, not sure if android 7.0 made it worse with it's different performance modes. I play the same account on my iPad Air 2 and it is really snappy without any lag.

I played on Shield K1, one of the updates introduced lagging. It got so bad I just sold the tablet. I play on iPhone 6S and iPad Air 2 and it's mostly flawless. Phone works better, probably because of newer hardware.

Thanks for the feedback. I think Nexon concentrates their testing on Apple devices.

So here it is in case you were curious.

the attack aspect of DomiNations, is host based. thus to mean the processing is performed by your device for timing, troop dropping, firing, movement etc. The defense on the other hand, is handled and hammered to your device from the server. So. move forward with this in mind.

for the record, our Samsung Tab s2 is still the fastest one we have. My orig Shield won't open dom even after a firmware / software reset
