Proof Marco Will No Longer Offer Troop Chests

This is interesting. Read between the lines folks. The anniversary event says it all. Marco will be SELLING stuff...(i.e. for crowns). Just the fact they are tieing him into the event (50% discount next time he arrives) means Nexon is doing away with him providing chests for rubies instead forcing you to use crowns.

I thought the troops for rubies was great as you could finally have enough to donate in war, but this recent trend makes rubies almost worthless and a lot less donating troop tactics

Maybe I should have clarified my statement. When I said ''reducing crown trades'' I meant getting rid of them and replacing them with other trades. Instead, the crowns required have been reduced, albeit from the anniversary event.
I guess we have our answer.

I had the chance to talk to Marco Polo yesterday about the Troop Chests. It's my understanding that they were mislabeled, and may contain some funny text when opened by players.
We are working to supply Marco Polo with a labelmaker so he can bring the Troop Chests back with a future update.

He absolutely intends to continue to offer some trades for Rubies.
