Reproducible hang at login

I can reliably reproduce a hang at login that leaves you on the login screen indefinitely and never correct itself. The only solution I've found is reloading app data.

When playing on a WiFi connection, if I disabled wifi to switch to cell network while in game it will be triggered. I've reloaded data at least 10 times in the past 4 weeks. It's a long process and uses 1GB of mobile data (I avoid wifi entirely because of this bug now).

There's no issue with WiFi or cell network, I'm experiencing this whole working to you on a perfectly reliable cell network. But the game hangs all the same. One triggered the hang is permanent.

1. Do you play in Android device?
2. Do you use the same internet provider both for your wifi router and phone?
3. Have you contacted CS and got the response yet?

Android device. One plus 5 phone.
The WiFi is not at home, I use T mobile cell.
if I'm using WiFi and walk away from the building the bug will be triggered and require a data wipe, so the only solution is to never use wifi at all, which uses excess mobile data. And at certain spots in my building cell reception fails and only wifi is available. So even the smart alec comment about not switching falls apart.

If I simply have my wifi on and am connected via cell, if I come close to a WiFi signal and it connects automatically it will trigger this bug and require a data wipe (that occurred this morning).

I did also report this to customer service, they pointed me here.

Data wipe, can you elaborate it?
This might happen if you often clear cache on game app (Android devices let this, has some pros and cons).
Try reinstalling.
Also that this game requires stable single connection in order to reconnect once its disconnected. There's always a chance that available wifi spots that you use are running in different network settings/frequency from your internet provider (which is why I asked before). It happened to me not too long ago, after last update, but it's fixed now. My wifi was set to 3G/edge, while my phone was set to LTE. Couldn't load the game properly (could still play but couldn't load alliance chats and requests) during wifi.
And last, oh come on don't be cheap, 1GB mobile data per day is not much! 😉

Settings - apps - storage - clear app data.
This is equivalent to reinstalling, which I've also done with identical results.
It would be fine if this forced an app restart, but not a full reinstall, that's a bad bug. Until it's fixed I've posted a poor review of the game on the play store. It's pretty maddening. Between this and continuing chat issues quality looks really bad.

Not the same, since every app has its residual data stored in your device.
Have you tried to uninstall though, keep complaining won't resolve anything 😅

You have any root explorer program? After uninstalling you need to locate residual files and erase them completely.

I'm just suggesting. Remember that if your issue doesn't happen massively to other players as well,, most likely developer won't take it as a bug.

I go in and out of wifi to cell data all the time with no issues. This sounds more like a device issue. Is your device up to date?

One plus 5 phone, all updates installed. I'll try the full uninstall/reinstall next time it occurs again. I don't experience anything similar with any other app, and in general have no other network related issue of note.

Same here! Often I should clear game's cache when I want to reloading the game by mobile data these days!
This is long time that I only use mobile data for reloading the game and then after reloaing I switching it to WiFi,cuz reloading by WiFi takes very long time!( Don't know why it should be like that, both of my mobile data and WiFi have high speed around 50 MBps and ping is below 100 ms!)
Also the game force closing for me sometimes after I finish Battle and before go back to home city!

First thought it's a personal issue or due to the last phone update, but then realized it's related to game as far as sometimes iv to do the same (clear game's cache) in order to reloading replays in the game (that sometimes works and sometimes don't work) !

So it doesn't only happen at the beginning, it happens during the game either and my conclusion is it's an issue belong to the game that occurs for some devices!

Glad to hear I'm not alone.
I just reproduced this on a flight. I was able to switch from cell network to wifi and use it on the flight, but when we landed I exited the game and switched off the wifi. When I returned the bug was triggered. I'm now fully uninstall/reinstalling. I'll test reproducing it again after the reinstall. I'm quite certain I can, it's very consistent.

Are there any kind of debug logs I could enable to try to understand the issue? I would certainly love to hear from the devs.

Shouldn't clear cache too often. Residual datas could either be useful or useless. Full uninstalling is better, since it also removes the installer from the phone ; clearing app data only clears your data stored in the game.
Also that what matters is not the speed/ping, but how stable your connection is. Most time my 128kbps router could load the game better than my 3mbps mobile data 😄

Good luck though.

Good news on this front, I discovered that a simple device reboot also clears the problem. I'm back to using WiFi and only needing to reboot every day or two when things hang. It's still only Dominations that's affected by whatever is going on, and this is on a OnePlus 5 phone.
