Research and upgrades at the Armory

Currently the Armory(successor of the Blacksmith in earlier Ages) only allows one research/upgrade at a time, which is very inefficient especially when in later Ages where researches/upgrades takes almost a week or more.
I suggest that starting from a certain Age, for example Gunpowder Age, multiple researches/upgrades should be allowed to be done simultaneously, with a limit of one research/upgrade item per category at any given time(ie a maximum of one item each from barracks Troops, Tactics, Generals, Factory troops and Aircraft to be researched/upgraded simultaneously[this is only an example, maximum numbers of researches/upgrades that could be done simultanusly should be adjusted in order for the game to be balanced]).
I find it hard to understand that with better technologies, greater population and higher intelligence of people in later Ages(I assume they are as in reality), the efficiency of researching for better military technologies and skills remain the same as in ancient times, ie Stone Age, only able to do one research/upgrade at a time.

Silly rabbit. In Dominations, as you age up the civilization's intelligence goes down. This is why people with stone axes could clear a forest in 15 minutes but people with explosives take a few weeks. Chalk it up to the increased amount of red tape to acquire the permit required to begin.

unfortunately, this suggestion just promotes free-to-play. If the game catered to us, the servers would already be shut down.

Thanks for redirecting to your post that has more established discussions on a similar idea/suggestion.

That's true if you are only considering the duration of time needed to clear a single forest or constructing/upgrading a single building. However, as player advance to later Ages, the number of citizens allowed in a single player town is also increased according, allowing more tasks(ie clearing forests and constructing/upgrading buildings, etc) to be done simultaneously, leading to be more efficient in doing those tasks than in earlier Ages.

I may have wrote my idea/suggestion too briefly in my original post that lead to some misunderstanding.
The idea/suggestion I suggest should be implemented with restrictions on using it, in order to make it fair for all and not ruin the game.

Below are some restrictions that I suggest must be implemented together with the idea/suggestion I suggest:
1. There must be a limit on maximum number of items that can be researched/upgraded simultaneously in the Armory at all times
2. There must be a limit on the maximum number of items that can be researched/upgraded in the same category simultaneously in the Armory at all times (**I suggest this limit should be one only**)
3. The player must be at a certain Age in order to be able to unlock this feature

Below are some methods of implementation and/or additional restrictions I suggest that could be implemented selectively or implemented as a combination together with the idea/suggestion I suggest:
1. This feature could be part of one of the nation's speciality, so only players that chose the nation could enjoy this when they reach a certain Age. Additional restrictions could be included, for example restriction that limit the number of times this feature could be used in a set period of time to avoid the gameplay to be imbalanced
2. This feature could be a research item to be unlocked in the Library. The cost and duration of this research(es) should be similar to or more than that of upgrading the Armory of that Age/level. Additional restriction that could be included is this research(es) effect would only be available after upgrading the Armory to that Age/level
3. This feature could be activated by acquiring a Blessing that is extremely high cost in terms of Tradable Goods. The blessing should only be allowed to be used only once per time after it is aquired and would be used up after all researches/upgrades that are on-going simultaneously in the Armory ends, even if the highest limit of allowed researches/upgrades done simultaneously has not been reached. The limit of maximum number of researches/upgrades allowed to be done simultaneously should apply to both the number of reseaches/upgrades thats ongoing at any given time and the total number of upgrades done throughout the whole period of time when it's activated. Additional restriction that could be included for this blessing is that it would need to be researched in the Library before the blessing is unlocked
4. If multiple items are being researched/upgraded simultaneously in the Armory, the cost of researches/upgrades and(/or) the duration of them should be increased accordingly based on the number of researches/upgrades that are ongoing simultaneously in the Armory

I believe if there are appropriate restrictions with careful implementation, this idea/suggestion would not be a disencouragement to those who pay to play the game.
