I really enjoyed the addition of new buildings over the years and I think BHG did a great job with the manufactory but I think already existing buildings could become much more interesting by adding new features to make them more enjoyable.
To be clear, I’m posting this under the IDEAS AND FEATURE REQUESTS section to be considered by the developers in the future. So don’t come at me saying wE sHoUlD fIx bUgS fIrSt. If you wanna whine about bugs go make a post under the BUGS AND KNOWN ISSUES section. I am sure that BHG developers can work on fixing bugs in the near future while making plans for new features in the more distant future. I don’t think they need anyone to prioritize their work for them.
With that being said, here are some ideas to revamp some older buildings to make them more interesting. A lot of these ideas have been requested before so credit goes to whoever came up with them.
The Archive
I suggest introducing new levels that allow players to produce speedups, legendary tokens, and possibly museum supplies using resources and time.
Here’s how it should work: the Archive should have two slots; one free and the other could be unlocked for 1000 crowns.
The recent updates heavily favored new players and didn’t give older players much with respect to time reductions. So it’s fair that a higher level Archive would produce speedups at a faster rate than lower level players who have already benefited from up to 95% time reductions.
Lower ages will only be able to produce 1h speedups and as they progress they can produce 6h and 12h. When they reach a higher age (e.g. Drone age) they can produce 1d and 2d speedups and finally at automation age players may produce up to 5d speedups at a faster rate.
Speedup Example:
The cost of a 12h speedup for a cold war age player would be 10,000,000 food or gold and would take 5 days.
The cost of a 1d speedup for a drone age player would be 19,000,000 food or gold and would only take 7 days (as opposed to the 10 days it would take a cold war age player to produce 2 X 12h speedups).
The cost of a 5d speedup for an automation age player would be 28,000,000 food or gold and would take 30 days (as opposed to the 35 days it would take a drone age player to produce 5 X 1d speedups).
Legendary Token Example;
I believe the price should be the same for all players to produce 1 legendary token but again an auto player should be able to produce faster. For example, one legendary token would take an auto player 7 days to produce as opposed to 12 days for low levels players.
Additionally, players may produce museum supplies (supplies, researchers, and benefactors) using resources (food, gold, or oil) and time.
The game gives a ton of free speedups and tokens for watching videos anyway so I thought that allowing players to produce one extra token every 7-12 days or an extra one day speedup every week is reasonable. But I would be ok really with anything that people would see more reasonable.
I believe this would (1) make a worthless building worthwhile and more interesting, (2) help high level players to put some of the extra resources into use, and (3) show some appreciation to those older players who were left out in recent updates.
Finally, I hope that people at least agree in principle that the Archive building is totally useless and players should be able to use excess resources to earn speedups, legendary tokens, and museum supplies. The cost and time duration are negotiable. The numbers I gave are just examples of what I see reasonable but I’m totally open to whatever the amount of resources or duration of time other people and BHG see reasonable as long as the idea is implemented.
