Greetings Leaders,

This week we’re kicking off Season 3! While you’re thinking about what the season could possibly be called, I can give you a bit of a hint as to what it might be through the buffs you can expect to kick off on 6/4! You’ll also notice that we’re reducing the number of challenges in the Episode Passes and adding more value to both the Free and Premium reward tracks!

Addition From Season 2
'Tomorrow's Promise' brought in a whole slew of changes, one of which will remain going forward! Castle/Fort Spawn radius will remain going into Season 3 and beyond. For now, that is the only change we're adding from the previous Seasons, but there will always be the possibility that Seasonal changes will become permanent changes to the game!

Ashoka's Pillars Event 5/29 - 6/2
This week is our Ashoka's Pillars Event!

Ashoka was the third Mauryan emperor of India, reigning from 268 to 232 BCE. He greatly expanded the empire, which stretched from present-day Afghanistan in the west to Bangladesh in the east. Ashoka is remembered by the 12 to 15-meter-tall pillars that he erected across his empire. These massive pillars were inscribed with his edicts and are among the earliest known sculptural remains from India. Over 2,000 years later several pillars still stand!

please dont keep the fort general raduis permanent.

if you plan on changing it then make the castle damage range match too.

I don't believe anyone was clamouring to keep Fort radius as it is.

I'm looking forward to and the legendary artifact in the conqueror chests.

I am a very active player and the past several days I am travelling around with my striker account.

All I read from the ingame chats is "oh good that this event is almost done", "good riddance to the castle spawn" and comments all centered around the castle spawn. This season was a huge defender buff! Now, I am a defender and I shouldn't complain about it BUT it is a bit dreadful as it can ruin attacks that are otherwise perfectly executed. Nobody complained when it was released much earlier and we endured this thing almost 2 full seasons. BUT today we learn that this has come to stay? And suddenly the chats are filled with messages along the lines of "I will take a break", "the game is not fun anymore", "why do we keep playing" etc etc...

Many players are disappointed and not happy as this spawn greatly affects all battles. Yeah I get it that some people like them cause it stirs things up and I agree up to a point. It is nice having a few changes on a seasonal base! But maybe you have to think the scale of those changes and how much they do affect the metagame cause the alliances that compete at the top100 cannot possibly adapt to every change you make EVERY SINGLE MONTH! This is impossible. We like to compete in a fair environment and making changes like -15” for QV is waaaay too much! Having the generals spawn from the castle from the other side of the map is also too much! You cannot possibly do a proper battle plan. We do not mind if we lose a battle because we did something wrong but we do get pissed when our battle plan is thrown to the bin every single battle because of the castle spawn radius.

And because I like to propose solution for every problem, here is just some brainstorming for tweaks that could happen during future seasons:
- change the radius of all defender spawning buildings by +2
- anti-tank guns radius +1
- helicopters buff radius +1
- wonder radius +5 radius
- Assault vehicle +100% damage and hitpoints
- Barrage tactic +200% damage
- Betrayals betray +1 defender
- Tactical Helis deal 300% more healing
- HTs can fire over walls
- HTs are +50% faster when moving (fire rate remains the same)
- Bombers drop 1 more bomb
- Fighters do 3 strafing runs
- Gold and Food storage is doubled
- Marketplace storage is doubled
- All expeditions are available to all players regardless of Dock level
- No museum is allowed in any war (yeah that is a seriously radical change, do it at your own risk :) as i said i am brainstorming)
- No SH is allowed to be filled
- Mercs actually do supress enemy troops
- Greeks get +6h per age with a instantly finish upgrades under 12h for free
- French get higher command post capacity
- Chinese eco buildings (market/mills) produce soldiers when destroyed
- Chinese get +50% wall hp
- Japanese TC shoots like petroleum reserve building
- Armored Ambush Trap can be scanned and disabled
- Angkor Wat does a lot more healing (0.5% of every unit's health instead of a fixed amount)
- Forest keeps spawning defenders every 30" (reinforcements right?)

im a fan of the no fill strongholds... i want that one permanent😅.

I completely agree about reducing the Fort spawn radius for releasing Generals.

The other suggestions are interesting in the same way that the seasonal events have been. However any "definitive" changes to airport, factory and barracks troop balance are welcome. Some troops are not used much or even useful at any time in the game due to the huge difference, not in characteristics, but in the balance of forces.

Plans usually only work up until the battle starts - then it's about adapting to real time changes and adding generals to the mix early on is just one more thing to adapt to.
I like the new Castle spawn radius - not only as a defender but also as an attacker. I'm happy for the generals to come out earlier while my army is still mostly intact and at full capacity firepower-wise. Bring 'em on! :)

Plans usually only work up until the battle starts - then it's about adapting to real time changes and adding generals to the mix early on is just one more thing to adapt to.
I like the new Castle spawn radius - not only as a defender but also as an attacker. I'm happy for the generals to come out earlier while my army is still mostly intact and at full capacity firepower-wise. Bring 'em on! :)
I also agree with that.

But personally and strategically overall, as an attacker or defender, I prefer the smaller Radius.

I agree with the castle spawn range issue.
but what you propose for defense seems too much to me. I like the temporary changes in the troops but I think they should leave us in "normal" for a while and then apply another season, releasing one after the other makes it lose the fun... at least for me.

Addition From Season 2
'Tomorrow's Promise' brought in a whole slew of changes, one of which will remain going forward! Castle/Fort Spawn radius will remain going into Season 3 and beyond. For now, that is the only change we're adding from the previous Seasons, but there will always be the possibility that Seasonal changes will become permanent changes to the game!
Why you just don't admit that you don't know how to remove spawn radius for castle.

Castles have come a long way since the beginning. It used to be that unspawned generals got destroyed when the castle got destroyed. Now you really can't get to the castle before the generals spawn.

I'd like to know what prompted to make the seasonal change permanent because i don't think that most players want this change.

The only thing I am happy about is the diamond mine only needing 1 citizen. I never used them because 4 people? Really? Why would I have 4 people free to mine a diamond mine.

Time to use all the diamond mines in inventory!

@Harlems369th These event changes are causing despondency amongst many players and alliances. Some waiting for an event to end hoping things would return to some form of normality and then finding out thats not the case.
1. The huge general spawn radius was good for the event but now saying that this will become permanent is a huge mistake.
2. 40% increase in SAM damage will kill any airstrip troop instantly which means the attack could be over before it even started.
3. BHG made quite a profit this quarter because of players like us, so please start listening to what the community says.
4. These event changes are not fun, and if a game loses that key aspect then whats the point of playing.

Myself, and I assume most of the players, dont understand the intention behind the gimmick to change mechanics every season. Especially if you are choosing troops which are not worth thinking about to use them. Unless I have 160% damage and 100% hitpoints from museum and council for other troops your additional boosts are a joke. Just my2cents.

The generals spawn radius is nice for my D account and a pain for my O account. Anyway, most wars it is not relevant.

Don't changes like this force us to think outside the box or think differently about how we attack - or just makes us think?
Every change to the game has people complaining about getting back to the status quo but eventually we adapt, we re-think, we come up with a new strategy and we move on.
I'm not saying I like all the changes they've made over the years but, while it might be nice to stay in our comfort zone, changing things now and then stops the stagnation. Just my 0.02c.

There’s no thinking outside the box on this one, 1 Sam will instantly kill your airstrip troop. When great players wants to take a break from wars because of absurd event changes, it affects your alliance in a negative way so it’s warrants a complaint.

Over the past year, defense got quite a significant boost, and then another gci was introduced with new uni leader. What’s next, an extra Sam battery, more building hp boost after a month or so.

I‘ve suggested this previously: Limit the number of troop TT’s to 1 of any type i.e. only 1 Blackhawk, 1 Ike, 1 stallion etc. is allowed per attack. You’ll see a drastic change in the game, this will get players to think outside the box.

Agree with many of the comments above. BHG clearly broke their game with regards to Fort Spawn. Let’s break it down. It went live prematurely during Season 1. Continued between seasons. Was (likely orginially unintended) included for Season 2. Continued in between seasons. Despite NO ONE giving it props or asking for it to remain is now literally the ONLY “season mod” to be in multiple seasons and “beyond”. Admit it BHG, your coders can’t fix it.
