Suspected cheating!

Recently, Elite response has called out Rus Army for cheating. Seems like a lot of russian alliances are defending them. It's hard for us to judge without seeing it. We have suspicions about VN Elite, but no proof to tell if they have unlimited ressources to do what they do.

This being said, cheating, which is NOT something available to all that are playing the game, is the first thing that should be frowned upon the most. Nowhere close to the same as sandbagging or lowering medals, but I don't want this thread to be about this issue.

We send screenshots often, but we don't feel Nexon takes it seriously enough... 3 day ban, give me a break! I really think we have to let Nexon know that this is not acceptable. A cheater should be banned and have the account disactivated.

Now, we have to be careful about what is being called cheating. This is where it gets tricky. I have realised, on my own base, that a cannon was stacked on top of another building. I have no idea how this happended, and I fixed it right away. I feel that some people take advantage of this glitch in the game, especially when I see a rafinnerie hiding under the town centre. To me, this is a gray area. Unfair, or unethical to use the glitch to their own advantage, maybe....but cheating, hhhmmmmmm, I say no. Nexon should be on top of things. They fixed the "force quit" that allowed you to keep your medals in a loss, I applaud that!

Having just 1-2 farms built, is not proof of a cheater. You don't have to build all buildings available. Also, if you never updated your war base, it's possible that the base looks like a medieval base, while the player is industrial. Same thing for maxed out walls...not proof of a cheater. Some people, I know for a fact, have used a glitch in the game at one point, to gain crazy amounts of ressources... again a gray area to me. And then lots of people put in crazy amounts of money, CRAZY amounts, which I also verified. This is also being, not only allowed, but encouraged by Nexon.

Cheating, to me, is for example having 12 buildings upgrading at the same time. Noboby has, or should have, 48 workers! This kind of cheating, often using outside crack programs that I don't even understand, that should be completely banned!

Good post😊 I have no idea of the ones mentioned are cheating - and I do not want to make judgement on that. If they are cheating I hope they will get banned.

Exploiting bugs and glitches are actually also cheating (defined by Nexon) - and you will get banned for it. Even though you might even not have done it on purpose. That is fair enough I think. You have to pay attention to what you do. If you retrain your tactics and a bug occurs which result in extra tactics. If you use them, you cheated, and you will get banned for it. The same goes for exploiting the "University bug" where some could get free workers - also cheating! Nexon's rules.

Exploiting bugs/glitches, force quitting (when that was possible) and using hacks are cheating - and you will get banned for it. I think like you that using crown hacks, wall hacks etc are the worst and you should be permanent banned.

Nexon makes the rules and they are pretty clear about it. I really hope they can get rid of all the hackers.
In all our alliances in the game I do think we can help them more enforcing these rules! This is important and we can only resolve them together.

They absolutely don't care about cheaters, that s a shame.

Someone into my alliance increased his level so quick that i've looked at his base, he had something like 12 buildings under construction. How is it possible ? By cheating of course.
Someone in the alliance has warned the CS, that was 2 weeks ago. Nothing has changed except he has now 23 buildings under construction.

I am wondering why honest People like me are wasting time by waiting our constructions to complete 5 6 7 days or more. Why people are buying the estate at 55 euros.
Yes why, while some cheaters are doing that for free and nothing is done against them.

The message you re sending nexon by doing nothing to them is, go honest people who are fed up waiting and frustrated by the lack of workers available you can become cheaters you risk nothing.

Where does having planes in your barracks on your war base layout during the GP age fall into this?

Those are leftover event troops (i.e., troops legitamatly earned during events that have not yet been used). They appeared visibly in the barracks several updates ago.

I agree with you, but exploiting Nexon's bugs is a gray area to me, just because it's available to all. Like I said, not the way the game is suppose to be played, just like sandbagging....darn I mentioned the "s" word...but not cheating.

Seriously, all that Nexon lets go on, even if they are told about glitches, should'nt be considered cheating in the same way hacks are... in the case of an exploitation of a glitch, a 1-3 day ban seems appropriate...but then again, if Nexon can ban for using a glitch, why can't they just fix the glitch and move on!

Visual glitch, I've never heard of any being used, but then again we don't see war replays...

Cheaters with 23 upgrades at the same time should be banned by your alliance right away, at least we do. At least let them play together.

They are plane "tactic cards" from an event several months ago. Its not a cheat. They just never used the reward.

As many here know, I'm not a fan of cheaters and I'm not alone. Always report these players to support and they will review the accounts.

I do not believe "sand bagging" or manipulating the medal count is cheating but rather taking advantage of an opportunity that anyone on the game can do. This makes it an even playing field and It also doesn't directly or indirectly affect someone else's game. I may be biased because I do drop medals on purpose for the soft targets, easy loot, and to finish some of these events without spending a fortune. In my alliance we don't sand bag but instead give some of the lower level guys a chance to get loot in war. We have lost a couple of wars due to this so we have paid the price by "Sand Bagging".

My 15 year old son started the game soon after I did, without me knowing. He went on vacation and when he came back showed me his base which was that Enlightenment 127 with level 11 walls we use to see before IA came out. We all remember those, right?! Anyway he told me he had been playing for about a year and a half. I was super impressed and asked him how he did it and were did the money come from. He said free crowns from killing stags and stuff. I then looked at him, smiled, and called him a cheater. He tried to defend himself and just couldn't. He admitted the truth. He was "anonymously" reported and banned for life.

I had an extra starter pack sold to me when I first started and had an extra house. I reported the issue, kept my crowns, and lost the extra house. I did this for 2 reasons 1=integrity and 2=I did not want to get caught, haha! My point is Hacking and Glitches are both forms of cheating. One is on purpose the other is an accident. Its not right and should be reported. I do not like cheaters, hackers, or glitches. The types of players who take advantage of these ruin it for real players who spend time and money to advance and become Bad-A-words. What is the use in playing the game if you do these things. I just wanted to state my opinion... Ludog Rogue Mafia

I found a youtube video about some type of "gem" app that hacks the build timer. Yes I watched the video and once I got to the end of it, I clicked "thumbs down". I also was raiding and attacked what looked like a ton of loot. Well the TC never stopped spwning pikeman. I had to of killed 300 of them before the onslaught overwhelmed my troops. The whole time I was rallying different plints trying for that perfect screen shot to send to CS. Guess I need to revisit that inactive alliance and see if the base is still in the game.

Wait, apologies, I must cut in. Are you saying sandbagging makes it an even playing field?

So, the debate over cheating vs glitch came up, so I must chime in.

My opinion is that if a glitch doesn't effect any other players negatively or disadvantage other players, then it is a glitch that should be fixed, but punishing players for this "glitch" seems extreme. Example: university glitch, which maybe Nexon did purposely to get players invested in the university. (A hack is a clear cheater, so I won't even address those bastards.)

If a glitch however gives one player or alliance advantage over another, I think it is abusing the system (I would say "cheat" but people hate that word). Anyone with any amount of brain cells knows when a glitch is giving someone an advantage over another player and/or negatively effecting another player. Players should take the moral high ground for the good of the community/game, AND Nexon should take immediate action.

Just because something isn't specifically stated to be against the rules, doesn't mean it is ok. And,whomever is making and enforcing the rules has a responsibility to those playing (and often paying) to create a fair and equitable environment for everyone.

Nexon needs to speed up finding a solution to sandbagging (or at least inform its community better), and in the meantime, alliances need to stop putting iron age players in their lineup to get easier matches, while excusing their behavior because "it isn't against the rules."

I think the fairest thing for nexon to do, if someone is exploiting a glitch, like building stacking - nexon should seperate the buildings & leave it at that.
Its unfair to ban someone who exploits something already in the game. Its not their fault the game is buggy, but if there is an outside influence like a hack or crack that should be banned.

poop, Yes, this is an even playing field. Any alliance can do it and it does suck. Just because I do not like something doesn't mean its unfair. In Rogue Mafia we do not do this but we also have about 30% Global members. Sometimes we will bring in the GP or EA members in war so they can get loot, and we do not have anyone below GP. If we did have lower members we would most likely let them join a war or 2 because our top members will carry their weight. We have also went up against an alliance with all high level IA and maxed Global when we had 2 GP and 3 EA, so we were on the wrong side of the bagging. I'm sorry we disagree but I believe this is an "even playing field"... Ludog Rogue Mafia

Thanks, I don't think any of the players with them last war ended up attacking so they might have just been idle bases with event troops like S_how suggested. Although a visual glitch is still possible since I've seen them in the last 3 wars now so it might have been something introduced with a recent patch.

Kind of annoying though because it makes it difficult to creep on army compositions to get an idea of how people might be attacking.
