Did you know - when l was 5 & started my first day of school l was quite nervous and quite a bit scared. I walked, hand in hand, with my mum to the front gate but when it came time to go in l didn't want to let go of her hand.
''It's ok'' she said, ''lt's not forever - it'll be over before you know it. Trust me, you'll have fun''.
''How long do l have to go to school for''? I asked.
''It's only for 11 or 12 yrs''.
I looked at mum and, fighting back tears, asked ''You will come back for me when I'm 17, won't you?''
