Whenever I look at my defense log I just see one attack strategy! A couple of tanks to absorb damage and the rest are shooters, artillery, healer and sometimes raiders. I see no assault, no mortar, no bazooka, no saboteur and no paratrooper; even the machine gun and heavy tanks are used very rare. I personally got tired of seeing everyone is using just one strategy. This is not players’ fault the matter is the ranged units are very stronger than others and if you want to win you have to use them. The useless units should be balanced.

Yes i see the same, but rest assured you wont see that from me.
I use sabs and long range riflemen, flood the attack in numbers of 85 plus rifles and 2/3 sabs, makes it mental fun!

It might not be the fact that it's the only strategy in the game; more likely it's the fact it's the best combination to take down your base. I usually get hit either by British armys or mass tank armies, because all my anti-tank guns are entrecnched deeper in my base.

Yup, the only two troops mixes I see at Global age are the Ranged Siege, Ranged Infantry, Support, and Heavy Cav; and the Tons of Heavy Tanks with Air Support. 95% are the first. Partially I think it is because if you add too many types of troops and tactics it gets MUCH harder to scroll back and forth on the troop/tactics tray making attacking almost impossible.

Also, the fewer different troop types you have, the easier it is to control your army and keep it together. The more stuff you have with different range and different target priority, the bigger the chance that your army will split up, causing the supply wagons / trucks to run between the groups, reducing their effectiveness by like 80% and getting everyone killed.
